Chapter 1. Forced marriage.

The cold of the night had seeped into her bones, leaving her feeling helpless and desolate. Abigail was preparing to become the wife of Maximilian Lombardo, a man she had never met and who would soon be her husband. The idea of joining a stranger was distressing, but her situation was even worse. With no relatives to support her, she only had her father, a man trapped in his vices, who had made the decision to give her away in exchange for settling his debts.

In the solitude of her room, Abigail cried inconsolably, feeling how sadness was drowning her and stealing her strength. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, reflecting on the injustice of life that had brought her to that cruel crossroads. She wanted with all her might to escape, to flee from a destiny she had not chosen, but the love she felt for her father kept her tied to that heartbreaking reality. She knew that her sacrifice was the price she had to pay for the well-being of the one who, despite his defects, had been her only family member. Thus, with a heavy heart and a mind full of doubts, she resigned herself to accepting her destiny, willing to sacrifice her own happiness for the love of her father, even if that meant giving up her deepest dreams and desires.

Abigail stops at the top of the stairs and looks at her father with a mixture of grief and anger. The atmosphere around her is so heavy that it seems more like a funeral than a wedding. With her heart pounding, she bravely descends the steps. When she reaches the bottom of the stairs, she faces her father with a firm and determined voice.

"Dad, I'm ready to get married," she says, her gaze fixed on him. "Let's get this over with."

"I'm sorry, daughter. I lost and I gave you up as collateral. Please, I hope you'll forgive me someday," her father pleaded, his voice shaking with desperation. "If you don't marry Max, I won't just lose everything, I might lose my life! He's paid my debts and you're the guarantor."

Abigail looked at him steadily, her heart pounding.

"There is no turning back now, all is lost," he replied, his voice full of determination. "I will have to sacrifice my happiness for your mistakes."

"But, Abigail, you understand the gravity of the situation. Max is our only way out," her father insisted, pale and distraught.

Her father looked at her with despair in his eyes, but Abigail stood firm, determined to go through with the wedding.

Minutes later...

Abigail, determined to get married, went with her father to the registry office. There was Maximiliano Lombardo, along with his best friend and partner, Elliot Jones, a man who shared his illicit business in the mafia. Max's cold gaze met the sweet and still innocent gaze of Abigail, a young woman of barely 19 years old who was about to walk a hard path at her young age.

"I can't believe this is happening," Abigail muttered, feeling a knot in her stomach.

"It is what it is, daughter," her father replied in a tone of resignation. "There is no other option."

Max approached her with a cocky smile on his face.

"Hello, Abigail. Ready to take the big step, right? " he said, his voice soft, but with a menacing undertone.

"I have no choice," she replied, trying to maintain her composure.

Elliot intervened, noticing the tension:

"Come on, Max, let's give the girl some breathing room. This is an important moment for her."

"Sure, sure," Max replied, not taking his eyes off her. "But remember, Abigail, sometimes the hardest decisions are the ones that define us."

"Welcome, everyone," the judge said, looking at the couple with a neutral expression. "We are here to unite Abigail Lance and Maximilian Lombardo in marriage. Do you have anything to say before we proceed?"

Abigail swallowed, feeling the weight of Max's gaze on her.

"Just…" he began, but the words caught in his throat.

Max smiled, gently interrupting.

"There is no need for words, my love. What matters is the commitment we are about to seal."

The judge nodded, unfazed.

"So, Maximilian and Abigail accept each other as spouses, in sickness and in health, in wealth and in poverty?"

"Yes, I do," Max replied firmly, while Abigail hesitated a moment longer.

"Yes, I do," she finally said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Perfect," the judge said, his tone almost mechanical. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife."

Max turned to Abigail with a triumphant smile.

"You see, everything went as we planned."

Abigail felt a chill run down her spine, wondering if she had really made the right decision.

"Yes, but..." She began to say, but Max interrupted her.

"Don't worry, everything will be okay. We are one now."

The judge waved them goodbye and Max took Abigail's hand and led her toward the exit.

"Come on, we have a lot to do. This is just the beginning."

Abigail followed him, sensing that the real duel had only just begun.

Abigail and Max sped away in their luxury armored car. As she settled into her seat, Abigail glanced at him, feeling both scared and annoyed. Max, noticing her discomfort, leaned toward her, his gaze intense and piercing.

"You are my wife," he said icily, as if each word was a reminder of his new reality.

Abigail felt a spasm in her back, as if he were proclaiming that she was his property.

"I'm not an object, Max," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady despite the uneasiness that crept through her.

Max smiled, but there was no warmth in his expression.

"I know, Abigail. You are so much more than that. But now we have to act like it."

They arrived at the mansion immediately. Abigail looked at everything strangely, as if everything seemed foreign to her, even though it was a place full of glitter and luxury. Her father had some properties, but he had never been as rich as Max. She began to walk through the different spaces of the mansion, while Max followed her, attracted by the beauty and sweetness of the young woman. He had never been close to a woman as innocent as her; he, who had always been the bad boy, tough and even rough with women.

"It's impressive, isn't it?" Max said, breaking the silence as he watched Abigail explore every corner.

"Yes, it's... different," she replied, unable to hide her discomfort. She had never been in a place like this.

Max moved a little closer, his gaze fixed on her.

"You don't have to feel out of place. This is just a space; what really matters is what's inside you."

Abigail looked at him, surprised by the sincerity in his voice.

"Thanks, but... I don't know if I'll be able to get used to all this."

"In time, you will," Max said, smiling enigmatically. "You just have to go with the flow."

Hearing these words, Abigail felt her heart pounding, as if each beat resonated in her chest. At that moment, the reality of her situation hit her with overwhelming intensity: she was married, and that meant fulfilling the role of a wife. The thought filled her with a mixture of excitement and fear, and her hands, cold as ice, reflected the anxiety that took hold of her mind.

The pressure of social and personal expectations loomed over her like a shadow, and the feeling of fear was intertwined with the uncertainty of what this new stage in her life would mean. Would she be able to adapt to this new world? Could she find her place in it without losing herself in the process? As her thoughts raced, Abigail realized that beyond her doubts, there was a spark of hope beginning to peek through, a small glimmer that whispered to her that maybe, just maybe, she could learn to let go and discover what it really meant to be part of something bigger.

Chapter 2. Night of desire and pain.

There Abigail stood, facing Max in the bedroom. They stared at each other in disbelief. Max wasn't going to pass up the chance to make Abigail his on their wedding night. He knew it would be Abigail's first time, and he was curious to see if the high price he'd paid had been worth it. He was an intense man, a reckless and unrestrained lover, and sensing the delicate fear in Abigail only fueled him further, feeling an overwhelming chemical attraction that enveloped them both.

Max grabbed her without hesitation and, in one movement, stripped her. Abigail silently gave herself to him, allowing him to explore her body with a mixture of joy and doubt. A strong tingle ran through her skin, momentarily erasing her thoughts. Max, driven by his desire, did not hold back and abruptly ripped away her virginity. Abigail felt an intense pain that went through her and tears began to flow from her eyes as Max penetrated her deeply.

Minutes later, they were both standing with their back
