Annotation

The Orphan Girl When tragedy steals their parents, sisters Alisya and Alexandra are left with nothing but each other. At twelve years old, Alexandra becomes everything her baby sister needs—protector, mother, and the only constant in a cold orphanage. For three long years she sacrifices everything to keep Alisya safe. Then salvation arrives. A wealthy businessman named Adrian adopts them, offering a life far from the gray walls of the orphanage. But the dream quickly fractures. Adrian only wants one daughter. Alisya. At just fifteen, Alexandra is no longer a sister in the house—only a shadow who works for everything she has. While Alisya grows up surrounded by attention, activities, and opportunity, Alexandra faces loneliness, cruelty at school, and the slow pain of watching her sister drift away. Years pass. And during a summer vacation that was supposed to bring the family closer, something changes. Adrian begins to see Alexandra not as the forgotten girl he took in—but as the young woman she has become. The attraction is wrong. Forbidden. Dangerous. Yet the harder they try to ignore it, the stronger it grows. In a house built on secrets, neglect, and unspoken longing, one question remains: How far can two people fall before everything breaks?

CHAPTER ONE

Pov. Alexandra

This was the first day in years that I actually smiled. I was adopted, hey wait it’s not like we’re joining a family or someone really wanted to adopt me, a girl almost fifteen years old, no way.

But I wanted to believe that everything would be fine now that we would finally be happy, that now there would be someone in our lives who would care about us, three years in the orphanage changed us. I was no longer daddy's little girl, always affectionate, always wanting my whims to be fulfilled, I learned that no one cared, not your toys, not your favorite dolls and clothes, not your bedtime stories and not your hugs. But for my little sister I tried, I tried to give her the best. It was a difficult life..

But he wanted to adopt my sister, she’s almost five years old, brunette with curly hair and blue eyes, who wouldn’t fall in love just by looking at her big round eyes, their problem is that she’s attached to me, of course we’re sisters and I’m always there for her, always giving up many things just for her good she was my everything and I was his mom, his life. Because nobody was ofering love, I was the only one there, holding her in my arms, sleeping with her and reading to her all the time.

I don't know if I was more happy because someone gave us a change to have a life, out of here or for my sister because she was so small and always scared.

It wasn't for the first time someone wanted to adopted my sister, but she was attached to me, it was naturally but him, hi actually was accepting me to..

I didn't know you can actually adopt someone if you are not married, but what can I say, money opens doors.

How did we end up in the orphanage, well our parents had an accident three years ago, I was only twelve years old and couldn’t raise Alisya alone, having no one we ended up in this sh*t orphanage.

Now she’s adopted, by a billionaire who want a child but don’t want a wife, very strange but what can I say. People are very strange, but People with money are different, always believing that if they have money they can afford anything, like a child, an animal or women...they think that everything is allowed to them...always looking down on us..

And because he was advised by his lawyer not to separate us, having no other solution , he adopted us both. Honestly, I don’t mind, who would want to live in an orphanage that doesn’t let children play, that counts every spoonful of food you eat,They wanted as to be obedient, quiet, and when you didn’t understand, they beat you until you understood, they put you under the cold water jet if you tried to be smart mouth.or they locked us in a dark room leaving us without water and food, honestly even five minutes spent there seemed like hours or days.

At first I was a big mouth but with time .. I learned that if I kept quiet and did what I was told, everything was easier. Children over ten years old, we had to clean and work while they take breaks for smoke and drank their coffee while they watched us work..

The time came to leave, the luggage was packed, we didn’t have much, just a few clothes and a picture of our parents. After the accident, we were at home with our nanny during the accident, and on the same day they took us out of our house, with only the clothes on our backs, leaving me with only a backpack, and I put everything I could fit in there, taking a small picture with our parents.

I don’t know what happened to our house and belongings after the accident, the money and everything, but when I will be eighteen I will take my sister and we’ll go our separate ways, until then we just have to stay with him.

A black Range Rover parks in front of us, the driver gets out first, then opens the back door and I’m gaping, his handsome and young, maybe mid-thirties,I was thinking he was ugly and he didn't find someone who like him and wanted to have kids with him, but no,That wasn't the case, he was very attractive, I don't think he had any problems with women rejecting him, on the contrary.. why would such a young man want to adopt two girls but now I understand why he chose to adopt my sister.

He looks quite similar, with short, curly black hair, blue eyes, except that he’s very serious next to my sister who’s always smiling, I could say they ar family, next to my boring  straight brown hair and brown eyes, nothing stands out, weak, a little hungry I would say...because the more you were like that, the less you had the will and strength to rebel...

Let me know if you liked my story, or if you you would change something.

Love you guys.

CHAPTER TWO

Pov. Alexandra

On the way to our new home, Adrian, that’s what we learned our new father’s name was. Adrian Lochwood, a businessman in real estate, hotels and a few resorts and restaurants. He was a tall man, with broad shoulders, well-built, he was known to go to the gym and take care of himself, with a not very big beard, well-groomed but he seemed very arrogant, indifferent to the people around him. Full of himself and with a cold and authoritarian look towards the others, always dismissing the rest..but offering my sister a small smile while they chat We stopped at the mall for some shopping.

I hadn't been shopping in a long time, the last time coming was before my parents died, the memory bringing a bitter taste, tears to my eyes, and a pain in my soul.

I missed them, the evenings together, the time spent with them, the laughter and playing...at the picnic, in the park...The evenings we ate together weren't
