I liked each book, but at the first I thought they would somehow be related with each other, but they are not. However, and occasional place may be mentioned in one of the other books. Each are love stories with a protagonist and an antagonist, and other supporting characters that interact in good and bad ways. Hearts get broken, financial losses occur, and so on. There are not a lot of graphic sex scenes, they are mostly how love stories go.
