Chapter 1
It’s been an hour, yet I can’t stop myself from trembling.
The room is dark and warm. The smell of leather, sweat and passion mixed with the summer heat.
Cain’s room is small, and one of his windows has slammed shut. It would be cooler with both windows open, but I don’t want to tell Cain to open the other one.
I don’t want him to get up.
I don’t want him to leave. I want to remain in the warmth of his arms forever.
I feel his breath in my curls, and my toes curl as memories of what we’ve just done spiral down my body.
My first crush.
My first time.
I smiled. I couldn’t have asked for better.
Cain moans my name and rubs his nose into my hair. His hand begins to caress my body again. My body is still alive after we finished an hour ago, yet my blood ran even hotter to the space between my legs as he touched me again.
His hand drifts down the length of my body, over my breasts, dipping into the curve of my waist before grabbing my hip.
He rubbed silkily and moaned again into my hair. I can feel him harden again. I’m no longer the shy, innocent girl that I was an hour ago, so I rub myself against him.
“Mmm, don’t tempt me, Amara,” he whispers into my ear, and I smile.
He says that, but his hand gripping my flesh is telling a different story. He lifted the hand beneath my head, bringing my head up.
I roll over to face him, and he leans forward without opening his eyes and kisses me. His lips are soft against mine, his tongue gentle as he kissed me slowly, passionately.
I still can’t believe that the boy next door, the bad boy of Yellow Street, could kiss so passionately.
He drew me even closer, opening his mouth in a slant over mine.
“You taste so good,” he moaned into my mouth as his tongue tangled with mine.
I press up against him, wanting more of his kiss. 2 months ago, I wouldn’t have believed it if someone had told me that I would be here with Cain Silvana, local bad boy and every girl’s heartthrob.
There was nothing similar about us.
I was the rich girl living behind the heavily protected, gated mansion down the street. He was the boy born into one of the most dysfunctional families on the block.
I attended the best private school in the city and he was the troublemaker of the community school where everyone else went.
No one ever noticed me, not as much as they noticed my twin sister Sienna.
Everyone knew Cain. He caused trouble everywhere and broke hearts every day.
Yet he likes me. He wants me.
And he has me in his bed.
His lips left mine, and I manage to crack my eyes open. His eyes are still closed as he presses a kiss to my lips before stroking my jaw. He dropped his hand to the tiny heart–shaped necklace around my neck.
Daddy had given me and Sienna the golden necklaces as presents on our 18th birthday. Mine has a peach heart, and Sienna’s is pink.
Cain traced the shape of the heart slowly.
His lashes caressing the top of his cheekbones hid the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen, and I doubt that I will ever see eyes like that ever again.
He leaned in again to kiss me, but this time he didn’t stop there. His lips touched my chin, my jaw, my neck and slowly he began to kiss a path down my body while his free hand gently pushed me, urging me to lie flat on the bed.
I rolled onto my back, my eyes struggling to stay open as he kissed my shoulder, then my arm, then my breast. He tugged at my nipple playfully before continuing to kiss down the rest of my body.
When he pressed his lips into my waist, he opened his eyes. His eyes caressed my skin just as his hands caressed me.
He shifted, and then he was lying between my thighs.
Cain pressed his hands into my inner thighs, urging me to open my legs. I still felt shy even though an hour ago, he took off my dress and my underwear. But then he hadn’t been lying between my open legs.
Now, nothing about me is hidden from him.
I closed my eyes, feeling embarrassed,
He kissed me again, lower this time.
“Open your eyes, Amara.”
I did as he ordered and nearly drowned in his beautiful eyes. Why did he look at me like that? Like I was the only person that mattered when in reality, I wasn’t.
I was boring and ordinary.
I wore braces until the beginning of this year, when Sienna and I turned 18. I wore glasses because my eyes were too sensitive for contact lenses.
He reached his hands up so that he could interlace his fingers with mine. His thumbs caressed the place where our fingers met.
“You have the body of a goddess.”
And I believed him. His eyes were nothing but sincere when he looked at me, and when he looked down at that part of my body where I couldn’t even look, he looked like he was staring at something precious.
He dropped my hands and drew himself even further down my body. I knew what he was about to do. I spent nights looking up pictures and videos ever since we talked about finally having s*x.
I was the one who brought it up. I wanted to give myself to him because it took only two months of Cain Silvana talking to me for me to fall deeply, utterly and foolishly in love with him.
When he dipped his head and closed his eyes, I closed my eyes. I didn’t want to watch. I was so embarrassed, but I couldn’t stop my back from arching off the bed when his mouth made contact.
My eyes rolled behind my lids and tears began to form.
I dropped one of my hands to Cain’s head, gripping his blonde hair tightly as once again my body surged forward toward that forbidden pleasure that only Cain could give.
If my mom knew that I was doing this, she would have my head for it. This was unlike me. This was something she would expect Sienna to do. Not me.
I was the good one.
The obedient one.
The sweet, shy sister.
Yet here I am with the same boy Daddy told me to avoid.
They say bad boys will only get you in trouble, but they are wrong. Bad boys bring heaven to you.
When it was all over again, I slept with Cain’s head on my chest and his arms around me.
I didn’t want the night to end, but I knew that I had to go because Mom and Dad were waiting.
Tonight, is the night. Sienna and I wrote our final exams last week; we were finally done with high school, and Dad wanted to celebrate us.
The house was already being decorated; the food and the drinks arrived in more than 3 different food vans already. The street was alive with festivities because Dad had invited the neighbours to celebrate with us. Only an hour left before the party started.
I didn’t want to leave Cain’s arms, but when my phone began to ring, I knew that I had no choice.
Sienna had promised to call me if Mom began to ask about me.
I groaned and reached over for the phone just as Cain was waking up. He blinked sleep away from his eyes and squinted.
“Time to go already?” he asked.
I nodded as I silenced my phone.
He drew in a deep breath and stretched against my body. “I’m going to miss you.”
“You’re coming to the party. You’re going to see me,” I laughed.
“And I can’t promise not to drool over you when I see you. Do you think your Dad will arrest me if I kiss you at the party?”
I laughed again. “You won’t do that.”
He shrugged carelessly, flashing that bad boy grin that made my heart stutter. “I might be tempted.”
“Stop, you’re going to get me in trouble,” I giggled.
He laughed.
I started to rise when he stopped me and climbed over me, his hand dropping to cup my face.
I looked into his eyes, my heart fluttering in my chest at what I saw there.
Me.
He only had eyes for me.
“Amara,” he said softly, and I loved the way he called my name.
“Cain,” I breathed shyly.
“I love you.”
Chapter 2
“That’s a huge grin you have on your face.”
I look over my shoulder at my twin sister and grin.
Sienna is sitting on the edge of her bed with her dress in her lap.
An identical dress is laid out on my own bed. We are the type of identical twins who wear the same clothes and style our hair the same way. Ever since we were little, Mom always made sure we matched in every single way.
Sienna hates it, but it’s only because she has her own style. She is the wild one. She had her first when we were in junior class. That night she made me promise not to tell Mom and Dad that she was sneaking out, and then she was out of the window before I could even stop her.
A kid from the community high school was throwing a party, and she had gotten an invitation. I never get any invitations to parties because no one knows me.
That night, Sienna had met someone they went upstairs to the host’s room while the party was still going on. She had come back home in the ear
