I have enjoyed so far(chapter 40). I love and hate Talon. He is truly conflicted over his feelings for Avalyn versus his wife Willow. While he loves Willow with all his heart, his wolf has connected with Avalyn and chose her to be the breeder. Talon initially promises Willow he will only perform the needed act until Avalyn becomes pregnant but he can’t stay away. Avalyn has suffered significant abuse at the hands of her father and stepmother. She has been told by Willow she will be killed after giving birth, so she is anxious and in fear. She is starting to make friends with those taking care of her and for the first time feeling loved. Now that I finished the book I am left conflicted. There was so much more left unexplained and the end was rushed.
