Annotation
"Kyra caressed her growing belly—she was finally pregnant with her best friend Nathan's child after three years of marriage. But when she returned home with the happy news, her Alpha husband was on his knees, begging her to end their bond. ""Sophia is back,"" Nathan’s voice raw with guilt. ""My fated mate."" Heartbroken, Kyra agreed to dissolve their union, hiding her pregnancy to avoid burdening him. Yet when she tried to leave, Nathan refused to let go. ""Can't we at least stay friends?"" She wrenched her wrist free. ""You lost that right."" Nathan didn't understand these feelings until Kyra was gone and then he knew this wasn't just friendship. This was love. And he'd fight to get her back. Then he appeared—Kieran, Kyra's stepbrother and the infamous Alpha from Raven Shadow Pack. He kept her captive, craving every inch of her. ""We're siblings,""Kyra gasped. His teeth scraped the mating mark on her neck as he growled.""'Not by blood.Run from him all you want, little wolf. But you belong to me now."" Trapped between two impossible loves—where does Kyra truly belong?"

absolutely loved the shifts of tension between kyra and nathan throughout the entirety of the novel - always staying true to the original plot while also giving them twists and turns. i am wondering however, if this is truly the end of the novel or if there is more to come in the future. if this isn't the case then i would have to confess my genuine disappointment since i have grown to love and form an attachment to these characters and how they each have developed or have been introduced. i would burst with excitement and feel the same spark i felt when i first started this novel if it were to continue the existing storyline paired with the new and intriguing characters/plot dynamics being introduced. to be able to forget about everything, even where you are, while reading a novel is something that makes a book special and uniquely different. to feel what the characters feel and see their facial expressions or movements is something only a truly wonderful writer can create. it would definitely sadden my mind and heart if this novel were not to continue but even so i am proud to say that no matter what happens in the novels outcome, i will forever be grateful to have read and experienced this book. it has taught me that reading can be more than just a dreaded task or a draining experience. i've learned to work with books instead of fighting with them due to my dyslexia and adhd. thank you for giving me and others a chance to reconnect with books and literature once again.
