Chapter 1
Lyanna Rowan It was years ago, but the stigma still followed us. Now that my parents are gone. It was just me. I won't forget the day we were thrown out of the pack, my father was accused of treason. It was all so fresh in my head because how could I forget that day. When everything was taken from us. "Bring the Rowan's." The pack judge called for us to be brought before him. "What have we done?" My mother questioned as she began to cry. "So you don't know what you have done or you're claiming to be ignorant you pathetic wolves" One of the alpha guards pushed us to the ground as Luna spewed those filthy words at us. "Everyone should look at you. These are the faces of the traitors who have shown us that wolves should not be trusted" Everyone who surrounded us gasped in fear and curiosity. I could remember the look on their faces. I was buried and invested in my tears. I couldn't help but cry. My mum held onto her arms as they started poking and insulting us. "Rowan is responsible for the recent attack on the alpha" A pack elder spoke as my father fell to the ground pleading. "I would never, ever betray the alpha. Why would I do that?" "But you did. The luna saw you coming back from your meeting with the rival pack" Another protested. My father begged but the alpha had already made up his mind. Without any proper judgement we were banished from the Blackthorne pack and subjugated to the outskirts. For years, we were treated like rumbles and spat on. My father never recovered from the betrayal so he died. It was just me and mum. She taught me how to use my powers too as well. She thought about what it meant to be a healer. How to use my power to heal and restore energy to creatures. That was how I was able to become one with the nature around me. When my mother died, I knew that I had to find my destiny. I had to find my path. I just didn't know how. Especially with how I was living, it was really hard. I just knew that there was something special in me. Something I could not explain. The marking on my wrist that my mother told me to hide was part of it. For now, I was just the healer that rogues and outlaws came to. And I was content with that. **** You don't need to tell me that I lived my entire life in fear. But I had also lived in humiliation and satisfaction of the fact that I will never be accepted. "We're looking for the rejected healer" Some men closed up to the front of my house and requested to see me. I had no use to anyone but fortunately my powers had left me with familiarity amongst the people in the neighboring pack. "Who looks for her?" I announced from inside my house. Hoping to get a little response from who wanted my powers. "Do you seek to die with your questions?" I heard a strong masculine voice call out to me. I stood up and opened the door. Stepping outside I saw tiger faces and I was able to recognize the pack they belonged to. It was the rival pack in the North. They had been fighting a battle for so long, I didn't want to ask any questions because I already knew. "Victims of the war, have come to wage war at my doorstep" They all sneered and ate as they tried to attack me with the claws but their leader shielded me from their attack. "Don't be stupid and blinded by your false stupid rage. Save that for the battle field when we fight do not forget that we need her" The leader said as he stepped to the side. "We need your help?" He said politely with honesty. "Just because I am a rejected healer does not mean I do not deserve any form of respect. If I choose, I will not go with you. It is my life that is currently at danger" "If you won't come with us then you are as good as useless. Let's kill her" One of the wolves shouted but I wasn't scared. "Our people will die if you do not come. Look, take a look at my feet. The wounds won't heal because the poison lingers. My people are hopeless and they will die. The war has eaten deep. Please Lyanna" Just like that his words softened my heart. I wanted to resist but the thought of people dying couldn't sit well with me. I had to help, one way or the other. "I'll come with you. But. My safety must be promised. Your pack is filled with salvaging wolves who lack respect obviously" I said as I eyed them from the corner of my eye. "You are our only healer. That makes you our queen" I didn't want to be their queen. I just wanted to do my job and make sure I was useful in healing and restoring their energy. From the obvious scene I had seen. The war had dealt with them. I turned and looked at my home. I didn't want to leave this place. It was home. I grew up here. But I reminded myself that I wasn't leaving here. I was going to do my job. Share my gift and most importantly, I was no longer seen as a rejected and banished healer. The time had come for my lineage to be graced. I went inside, packed the few things I'll need and then I bowed to the altar and left. Locking the door, I turned to the wolves who had come to get me and told them. "Let's go" I could see that a few were not in support of me joining them but they didn't have a choice but to agree. Just as the sun's dusks appeared. We went down the hill from where my house was. On the right top of the mountain. I was taking a risk but it was a risk I was ready to take.
Chapter 2
Kade Blackthorn "We must prepare for battle" These were wise words I shared with my pack. Despite the fact that we were the strongest pack amongst the packs in the northern region. Courtesy of me. We still had to prepare for battle. We had to prepare. I made sure they trained, day and night. Preparing for the enemy to attack. If they dared to attack us. Who would dare to attack their doom. I believed and knew that of the packs in the Blackthorne settlement we were the most dangerous. It was all thanks to me. "We shall not sleep. A night where the moon does not shine, does not exist so therefore we shall continue to train till the war is over!" Immediately I finished giving my speech. The other wolves began howling. It was exciting and at the same time antagonizing because a lot of them would die, if they were not strong enough. "Get back to training" I squashed their fiery celebration. The moon goddess knows how much we need to get our defense together. "We'll need more wolves to at
