Annotation

One night. One Alpha. One mistake she can’t erase. When Olivia ends up in Alpha Lucien’s bed, she doesn’t understand the danger of touching a man who doesn’t release what he claims. Lucien is not built for fleeting desire, he is possession, control, and hunger wrapped in power. Olivia is running from a past soaked in lies and secrets. From a home ruled by fear from a father who was the most ruthless werewolf hunter mankind ever knew. Loving a wolf was the one thing she was never meant to do. He wants her body, loyalty, and soul and an Alpha always takes what he desires, even if it means defying his pack, betraying ancient laws, and burning the world that dares to stand between them.

Chapter 1

I was not supposed to be here, the bar was too loud, the music was reckless, this is the place people come to to forget themselves and I guess that’s why I am here.

I glanced at my friend Amaya, she had the bigger smile on her face, I didn’t want to be here but I had to be, for her, she did so much for me, walk into a new city with me, leave her home and her family so we can have the life we always imagined.

“One more shot.” I yelled at the bartender, my head feeling light headed and a wave of goosebumps washed over me, my breath hitches as I stared at the vodka in front of me before gulping it down.

New city, new rules, no mistakes, no men.

I broke that promise the moment I saw him, he was not like the others, he was not too loud, he didn’t come off too clingy, he didn’t even spare me a second glance when he settled in the hip lodge, I did.

“Hey.” I hear someone yell and my eyes sworn off him.

“You are drunk Amaya, we need to go home.” I breathed out, his face still clouding my mind and I was tempted to turn around and look at him again and yet I didn’t.

“No, I met Cole, and I want to keep dancing, come on, you have to have fun, remember why we are here, so you can forget him, forget your fam-.” She was about saying when she placed a hand on her lips.

She knows we are never to talk about any of them, that’s why we are here, to start afresh.

“Promise me you will be responsible and not go home with anyone.” I begged.

“I promise mommy.” She smiled before she slipped away and I rolled my eyes at her.

I glanced at her with a smile on my face when my eyes caught his eyes, this time he was staring at me,

I should have left, I guess it was all because of the vodka because I should have never stepped into his vip lodge without permission, I should have never been that confident, but I was.

——

The beautiful stranger stared at me in shock,

“I guess instead of staring at each other, I thought I will come here so we can have a conversation.” I smiled, the alcohol rushing through my body.

“Lucien.” He whispered, his tone husky and low, I glanced at the gaurds that stood behind him, maybe that should have been my clue to run but I didn’t.

“Olivia.” I smiled at him.

His eyes gently met mine.

Time slipped with him,I found myself smiling, for the first time, I didn’t think about my ex, I didn’t think of the horrifying things he did, for the first time, I fount myself talking someone else, smiling at him.

“You are new to the city.” Lucien finally asked.

“No.” I lied. “I have been here a couple of times to visit my aunt, that’s my friend over there, we came together this time for the holidays.”   I stated as he stared at me, it seemed like he was calculating something and all I had to over was a smile.

I was drunk not stupid, I could never tell a stranger we are in a city where we know no one, a city we picked out of a game we played.

Lucien was calm, he didn’t try and touch em, he didn’t try to flirt with me, he wanted to talk, he wanted to know more about me, I found it weird but it didn’t stop me from talking.

“I should probably stop drinking.”

“You should.” He replied and I smiled at him, I rolled my eyes softly because taking the last shot.

My phone buzzed and I saw a message from Amaya, she is going upstairs to the hotel with Cole, she waved at me instantly and I did the same with a smile on my face.

“Your friend is leaving.”

“She is.” I breathed out.

That was my second mistake, letting Amaya leave with a stranger, my third was suggesting we head up to the hotel upstairs.

I made one mistake after another, it felt like I could not stop myself from ruining my own f*ck*ng life.

“You are drunk Olivia.”

“I don’t care, I came here myself, I sat here for hours myself and I can see the way your eyes never want to leave the skirt, and I know what I want.” I breathed out as I stared at him, my mind filled with thoughts.

Lucien leaned in toward me, his face resting against the crook of my neck like he was sniffing me when he placed a gentle kiss.

“Be careful what you wish for, I won’t be gentle.” He said and I didn’t speak.

I wanted to do this out of spite, to give him the one thing I never ever gave my ex, because he didn’t deserve it, I was never going to tell him it’s my first time, he could not know.

—-

The room was dim, I could never forget my first thought when we walked in, the fear, I never asked him why he she so many gaurds surrounding him, I always thought, I would never see this man again and there was no need.

“I have Rules Olivia”.

“Rule.” I asked when he settled on the bed.

“I want the lights off.” He said and I nodded softly, it was weird to me but I didn’t care, I was never going to remember this night again.

In the darkness, his breath felt heavy, so was mine, his hand never pulled away form my body and there was this fear that filled my heart, the fear I should have listened ot yet I didn’t.

I had many chances to run away and I didn’t.

“I’m going to make this night worth it.” Lucien whispered.

That was my final mistake

Chapter 2

I didn’t wake up in the hotel room, I was drunk last night, yet nor did I enough to not realize that I am somewhere else, a throbbing pain filled my head, my eye lids felt heavy and my breath hitches.

I glanced across the beautiful room, my breath felt heavy as I glanced across the beautiful room, a balcony that I wanted to step in and yet I didn’t. I could barely stand up.

I was not naked, I remember falling asleep naked, I recalled his words when he found out I was a virgin, I could not forget the way he treated me after that, gentle and loving.

My body was covered in a silk dress, I need my phone, only that it was not there, nor beside me, not on the bed

Oh my God Amaya.

The moment I gathered the strength and my feet touched the ground, the door sprinted open and my eyes glistened with tears.

“Livvy.” Maya yelled as she rushed toward me, wearing a simple dress like mine, “what is going on? How did we get there?.” She asked.

“What? Why are
