"I want a child! I am now the CEO of Jackson Group Limited and the executive director of Jackson’s. My parents can no longer wait any longer! I am done with your ego!" Ethan Jackson, her husband, growled over her as he yelled.

”I thought it was your desire for our marriage to stand! I thought you would show love, but I guess I was wrong about you. You don’t deserve a chance!” He added.

“Ethan, please.” June’s voice broke up and down. This wasn’t the first time they argued about the baby. In the first year after they were forcefully married in glowing, indifferent nuptials.

Fear crawled in June’s heart; she shivered knowing how he felt with his ego in trial. She reasoned, “I thought you would divorce me. So I did what every married woman would do and confronted your courtesan, whom you have been housing in the villa across the street . Ethan, you slept with her!”

“Enough! I didn’t sleep with her!” Ethan insisted. “I was helping her get a cozy accommodation! Why are you so insolent and insecure?”

“Shanty has no one! I know her inside and out. I brought her to Brooklyn to search for a decent job. And she is my responsibility, not yours!" June reprimanded.

Three years ago, she quit her job because of sexual harassment, and I promised to get her a downward job. She is my responsibility. Do you get me? My responsibility!” She added furious. “Both you and Robinson ensured she was disqualified for her interview!” Ethan shot back.

June frowned and shot back,"She could have qualified if she resided near Brooklyn town.”

“And with what? No rent-in on cold streets with ravenous snatchers?” Ethan yelled. “Then, she could have returned to Pack City. And besides, that doesn’t justify what you did-" June responded, but Ethan interrupted her again.

“That’s not what matters, June! Haven’t you grasped anything? I don’t like your attitude towards me!” Ethan responded. “You think you can prove my moves? My acquitters shouldn't be an issue,” he added. “What you are designing to do will never happen, June! Never! I only agreed to this fine marriage because of my parents, who threatened me with my CEO position,my birthright!Moreover, they transpired to divulge my CEO position to other people!” Ethan added.

“Do you realize how prejudiced that was for me?” With curiosity she asked. “And what if I cheated with her? That’s nothing to worry about. You have ceaselessly spurned my calls to have a baby. My parents are engulfing my neck! You knew I had an eye on Shanty, but you forced me to do this? No, you had no plans to get pregnant!” Ethan yelled back, his loud voice strengthening.

June and Ethan had been married for two years. Their parents were close business partners and believed they were bound to live together. Ethan was the humble big brother she idolized when they were young. He was kind and generous to her, and she proudly blushed at her claims of marrying him. She was five years younger, so her eleven-year-old teen couldn’t hold back from conveying her sweet love to his hot teen those days.

Unfortunately, Ethan had to travel to attain his career dream at a university abroad and left her wholeheartedly. She was attracted to his absolute good looks and even broke her virginity. Imagine her shock and incredulity when he introduced a stranger he was dating at the time.

The most eccentric of all was that they resembled each other. Shanty was slightly big, with alert eyes, a small, proportional nose, perky cheeks, and well-defined jaw lines. If not for June’s prominent jaw lines, long nose, and blue-colored eyes, they resembled other features. Not only June felt disheartened and denounced when he introduced the intruder, but the entire family did too.

They were so enraged that they objected to greeting her. They tried to convince her to leave their beloved son, but she never concurred. After a few months, Ethan’s parents coerced him into marrying June. They would have renounced him, but what he did was Johnson’s way of spurning Shanty Grey's position in their family. Yes, June felt anguished.

The feeling of seeing Ethan dating another woman made her incredibly empathetic. So when Ethan’s parents forced him to marry her, she voluntarily obliged. June was only twenty-four years old when she agreed to succumb to marriage. She was an undergraduate in civil engineering at her parent's university, but her studies didn’t collide with those of her paramour.

She thought she was lucky and that he would love her back. She was solemnly in love with Ethan, and she would have assassinated Shanty Grey to win him. Johnson and June entreated assistance from elsewhere. With her parent's power, they banned Shanty from accessing Pack City.

Tears rolled over her cheeks. Her breath labored as she thought. “Despite everything, he has opened up sleeping with that woman?! I know what to do!” June felt completely defeated.

Her lips shoved off, yet no word was uttered. Ethan banged on the door furiously and said, “Why are you groaning around? You look fable and worthy!”

“What do you mean? I am still the worthy June; furthermore, I have sacrificed a lot for you, but you haven’t reciprocated back,” she groaned deeply. “What the heck!” He pondered in his head, and then continued, “You are daft. I better leave you to do better things.”

He pointed to her belly and said, “I have given you four days to conceive a baby or get a divorce notice. Four days to get pregnant!” He took a few steps forward, outstretched his hand, and grabbed a coat.

As he did, June asked, “When?” She quaffed. When are you going to bonk me?” He walked in front of her and clearly said, “Maybe when I finish to bonk Shanty.”

Anguished? Yes, that was true. It was because I was madly in love. Empathy? How could she not feel so? Knowing he was solemnly in love when they were young.
