Civillan wolves

All in all its a nice read but the focus shifts too much for my liking. In the beginning we focus on Delany and once she has kids, she becomes a background figure ahd her children aren't even mentioned anymore. Maddox shift from being human to becoming an alpha wolf happens pretty abruptly and is never adressed in the future. What bothers me most is that there isn't an explanation on what "the marker" actually is, even though it's the whole plot of the second half of the story. It's all about managing it and researching it but we never find out what it actually does.
