I, Sulli, the wolfless werewolf, found myself exiled from my pack, the Nixx Pack. My parents' wrongdoing had cost them their lives and our pack dearly. Lost and with nowhere to turn, I ended up in the woods and got attacked by rogue wolves. I was unaware that I'd trespassed into the territory of the BrimeStone Pack, rivals of the Nixx Pack. Unable to defend myself, I ran until I reached a dead end. I thought all hope was lost when I heard a commotion. The rogue wolves were dropping dead one by one. I covered my ears and eyes, huddling in a corner. When the sounds ceased, I slowly opened my eyes, and they fell upon a tall, brooding stranger. The creature knocked me out. Upon waking, I found myself in a cottage. I got to find out the owner was Ron, a barbarian Alpha and protector of the BrimeStone Pack. I was terrified of him, but I had no other place to go. I had to stay with him, even though he didn't want me around and preferred solitude. I noticed he was cold, rarely spoke, and had a short temper. We argued over the smallest things. During our time together, I once ventured out and bumped into the Werewolf Prince of the BrimeStone Pack, Cole. He became utterly smitten with me and that's when life got more complicated. Why did I feel that Cole was my mate, despite Ron and I sharing the same birthmark on our chests?

"I'm an ordinary waiter, but I can see people's fate, including Shifters. Like all children, I was tested for magic when I was only a few days old. Since my specific bloodline is unknown and my magic is unidentifiable, I was marked with a delicate swirling pattern around my upper right arm. I do have magic, just as the tests showed, but it has never lined up with any known Magic species. I can't breathe fire like a dragon Shifter, or hex people who piss me off like Witches. I can't make potions like an Alchemist or seduce people like a Succubus. Now I don't mean to be unappreciative of the power I do have, it's interesting and all, but it just really doesn't pack much of a punch and most of the time it is just pretty much useless. My special magical skill is the ability to see threads of fate. Most of life is annoying enough for me, and what never occurred to me is that my mate is a rude, pompous nuisance. He's an Alpha and my friend's twin brother. --------------------------------------- “What are you doing? This is my home, you can't just let yourself in!” I try and keep my voice firm but when he turns and fixes me with his golden eyes I shrink back. The look he gives me is imperious and I automatically drop my eyes to the floor as is my habit. Then I force myself to look back up again. He doesn't notice me looking up because he's already looked away from me. He's being rude, I refuse to show that he's scaring me, even though he most definitely is. He glances around and after realising that the only place to sit is the little table with its two chairs he points to it. “Sit.” he orders. I glare at him. Who is he to order me around like this? How can someone this obnoxious possibly be my soul mate? Maybe I'm still asleep. I pinch my arm and my eyes water a little from the sting of pain."

"Blondie..." Judah trailed as if he was thinking real hard about something. "I'm giving you an out," he said finally. "A what?" "You don't need to do this with me. This whole... practice kissing thing, too. I think we’ve done enough. This game is getting too out of hand. You should just back out now, while you can. Because this isn't gonna end well for you," "Whoa, whoa, whoa, what the hell are you talking about?" I scoffed and my voice was seriously high-pitched. "I told you, you girls always have to attach emotions to everything. I can already feel it coming. So I'm telling you, you better run now or you're gonna end up falling for me, fast and hard," he said. I snorted a real loud laugh instantly. It was a reflex of some sort. "Judah, are you high or something?” I paused to gauge his reaction, but he remained serious. “Look, I can assure you, you don't have to worry about that. I'm not even attracted to you in the slightest," my laughter was maniacal and somewhat insulting. “Oh really?” he asked. “Yes, really,” I said reassuringly. “I have my feelings in check. So if there’s anyone that’s going to fall, that person won’t be me,” Judah crossed his arms and let out an irritated laugh. Clearly, he took my words as a challenge as he raised an eyebrow and his lips twitched into a smirk. He stepped off his bike and moved closer to me. I stepped back in response, hitting the red brick wall behind me. My laughter died down instantly as he put both arms next to my face so that I was completely trapped between him and the wall. "Alright Blondie, if that's how you wanna play it," he said lowly. "Game on," I looked up to see his dark amber eyes boring into mine, a predatory glint in his eyes. I suddenly felt weak and helpless, as if I was a little rabbit about to be swallowed whole by a lion. I gulped instinctively as he leaned closer to me. "Tell your heart I'm gonna steal it," he murmured to my ears.
