I have spent centuries in the Underworld, where darkness is law and mercy is a myth. Humans were never meant to cross my path, and I had no reason to step into their fragile world. Yet the day one broken soul whispered for death instead of salvation, everything changed. He simply wanted his suffering to end. Unfortunately for him... I answered. --- "A desperate prayer. An impossible bond. A fate neither of them wanted." Arvis, the young heir of a once-powerful noble family, loses everything after a ruthless betrayal leaves his parents dead and his family's name in ruins. Hunted by enemies and abandoned by those he trusted, he reaches the edge of despair. With no hope left, Arvis begs the heavens for death. Instead, something in the darkness answers. Lyvian, the feared Prince of Darkness, awakens from a years-long slumber after hearing Arvis's plea. The moment Arvis appears, an ancient curse binds their souls together, stripping the demon of much of his overwhelming power and making Arvis the only human capable of influencing his existence. Now hunted by both humans and demons, Arvis is dragged into a world he never knew existed, where ancient kings, fallen gods, and forgotten monsters wage a war beneath humanity's feet. While Arvis seeks revenge against those who destroyed his life, Lyvian searches for the truth behind the mysterious bond that should have been impossible. As danger closes in from every side, resentment slowly gives way to trust, and an attraction neither of them can explain begins to bloom. But some bonds are forbidden. And some prayers should never have been answered.

Broad shouldered, sharp jawline, pointed nose, angelic looks and she'd never seen anyone as tall as him. He regarded her through his piercing black eyes that looked cold and frightening. She stared down at his shirtless abs that made her hand tremble and yearning for touch. She widened her eyes in shock, trying not to get lost in those pair of beautiful black eyes. He looked familiar to her but she couldn't remember where she met him. "Who are you?" She made her voice sounded angry but the truth is,she really don't want to be the type of girl that drool over handsome men. He's handsome, no doubt, but something transpired between them, something Eddie doesn't want to think about. "I should be the one to ask you that, since you are in my room" he replied coldly, glancing at her fair shoulders that glimmer due to the ray of the morning sun that was peeking from the window. "But it seems we've met before, Eddie Hemsworth." **

Rhi turned back to leave and her eyes landed on two pairs of eyes she has seen before. He was the man from the alliance banquet! She stared right into his eyes and he was also looking at her.
