THE BROKEN LUNA: MATED TO THE CRIPPLED ALPHA Reviews

This book is a pure pleasure. I thought it was the usual werewolf story; not knowing what was awaiting me! The writing, the story, the plot, the characters, ... everything speaks to me. The simplicity and the ease of this love story is pure gold: two broken souls who find each other against their will and decide to walk that path toghether and to be each other strenght. It will allow them to grow from weak to strong and to advance toward their destiny. The last chapter made me cry but it was worth it!

Interesting story about a broken woman who is learning to be strong now that she has someone to support and love her. It is fun to read each chapter to understand what is coming next with the two families and the clawhold unique situations. And it will be interesting to find out about the budding relationship between Aria and Riley, the new sister-in-law. What type of supportive relationship will they develop to stay strong with their respective husbands?! I’ll just have to keep reading to find out.

I like the story so far... it gives a twist here and there but mainly connects the people and events in a logical forward progression. Hope several of the loose ends get covered soon. I would like to hear a few more background stories to help explain a few details. I do like how it gives the details from different points of view. It makes me want to know more about old events and current political situations.

So far I like it. The plot is normal to the normal, underestimated and abused wolf/Lycan. It has some interesting plot entanglements. Having 2 families be bad makes the story more interesting. It makes you want to cheer for Aria when you know she took her half brother down. I’m interested to see what part Aria’s stepmother plays into the story. Also, excited to see how the Alpha finds out his brother is responsible for his attack and death of his Luna. I have a feeling the step monster is involved.

I love the storyline, but the pace tends to be unsteady. Lengthy descriptions followed by a rushed explanation for things happening in the moment that could use more explanation. The conversation between Lucien and Varion for example, more could have been said or reasons from Varion with at least some evidence for Lucien to ponder about the possible betrayal by his brother. Something more that Lucien could consider or second guess during future interactions maybe? It is a great story that makes you want to know more, just some points are dropped into the storyline without any teeth to it.

I wasn't sure about this story at first, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. I love the characters, and I think the author is doing a fantastic job of unfolding the story line, bringing out new details as Aria and Lucien share more of themselves with each other. Even the supporting characters are continually developing, and we learn more about their personalities and motives as we read further. I do wish the chapters were longer!

This is an alright book. It's pretty okay. Honestly, it feels like it was written by AI. I swear that I've read ads for these types of werewolf novel apps that are exactly like this book. It works as a distraction or a filler, but it's definitely very generic and cookie cutter-esc. A lot of tell and very little show. The story does a lot of "with every sentence they shared, they grew closer", without actually playing out their conversations

You can feel the emotions being expressed by the characters. The fear Aria feels about being near her siblings, the growing feelings of love between Lucien and Aria, the hatred of so many others…. The descriptions are so vivid you can almost see the scenes in your mind’s eye. Castles with many branching corridors, the King’s chamber with a throne made of bones, large stone pave courtyards, the market place square with the vendors selling their goods. And off in the distance, beyond the cottages of the pack members lays the forest with its paths hidden in the snow. Excellent writing!

A good cast of characters, interesting dynamics and a mystery included. I'm enjoying the book. Looking forward to see how it progresses. The author is really good at getting you interested in the characters, gives good descriptions of the background, you can see in your minds eye the forest, castle and feel the cold from the snow and the warmth from the fire. I will make a note of the author's name and look out for more of their books to read.

I just finished reading The Broken Luna: Mated To The Cripple Alpha. This was very well written. What I liked most about it was that there were twists and turns so it wasn’t predictable. The author did an excellent job of describing each character and slowly building them up so I could not wait to find out how each character was going to be used in the book. I liked how it wasn’t overly smutty, for lack of a better word. I liked some things left for my imagination which is sometimes more than what I read. Can’t wait to read subsequent books!
