Review after the novel completion

Slow to start and jumped around a lot towards the end. The story picked up a lot of pace in the second half. Was still a good read, enjoyed all of the different characters and perspectives on events through different lenses, even the characters that you're meant to hate! I think longer chapters and being more descriptive on events, would have been beneficial, as the author glosses over some parts as "sorted, that's over with, let's move onto the next big bad problem" feels rushed.

Review after half of the novel

This novel really surprised me. It's actually the third longest book I've ever managed to finish—and that's saying something, because I hate reading long stories. I just don't have the patience for them. But this one? It hooked me from start to finish. Don't get me wrong, it had its ups and downs. There were moments where I'm pretty sure the author forgot her original plan or just winged it because she didn't know where to go next. But as a whole? Still a really interesting read. My favorite characters are Hendrix, Cooper, Brie, and Apple. After reading so many novels with the typical dominant, alpha-alpha male lead, meeting someone gentle and caring in his own way felt like a breath of fresh air. He's honestly my ideal kind of man. Cooper and Apple were refreshing too. As crazy and ridiculous as they are—especially with Apple's weird background and abilities—they reminded me so much of my late high school friends. The twins back then were almost exactly like them. Even now, I still don't fully understand how Cheryl's mind works, and Chase is basically an idiot. A lovable idiot, but still. And Brie? She is my mother. That crazy, sweet woman who could take down an MMA fighter with a spatula or her shoes. The resemblance is so strong it makes me wonder if the author knows someone like her too. I guess, in the end, this story just feels like nostalgia to me.

Review after half of the novel

Love the romance and witty banter. I am curious to know why Sapphire is cursed and how Fiona knows her father. All in all it’s a pretty good read. At lease this book is not repetitive. A type-o here and there but nothing too crazy. There are a few sentences that confuse you because it’s Hendrix talking then he references to himself as “she” and others when Sapphire is talking and refers to herself as a “he”, but I guessing those are type-o. I’m intrigued to see how this will end.

Review after half of the novel

I love the novel so far the story line is intriguing and keeps pulling you! I hate that these book apps require so much money to finish a novel 😒 but this app I guess is cheaper than some! I also feel like author's should use spell check more frequently because there are alot of grammatical errors in these novels. I guess no one is perfect though right? I can't wait to see the outcome of this story line! Keep up the great work author!

Review after the novel completion

This book was hard to follow. One suggestion would be to add who's pov the chapter is coming from so the audience knows who thoughts we're getting. It was also difficult to understand some of the explanation of who Sapphire is. An aspect of the story that I did like was how fast paced it was. Most stories (like this) have way to much sex with there down time. I have no problem with sex scenes but most stories have probably 8 or more sex scenes and that just seems a bit excessive.

Review after the novel completion

I loved the storyline, all the twists and turns kept me hooked, wanting to know what would happen next. The only disappointment was the few spelling errors and incorrect phrasing that didn't make sense, but it didn't impact on the story, just caused a slight confusion over what was trying to be conveyed. I would love to find out more about the future of Sapphire and Hendrix and their growing family. What is in store for their children, and are there any more curses on the horizon?

Review after half of the novel

This is definitely a good, hard, to put down read! Each character is different and can’t help but love them. The evolving story line and the growing relationship brings such hope for love. The trials one had to go through and the understanding of how to love someone without words has such a double meaning! The author puts it into perspective what we sometimes do not always think about. One may just accept there destiny or fate but when given the chance, can really open your eyes to new things!

Review after the novel completion

OMG! AMAZING. Trust me, I have read a lot of books and novels in my time but none as unpredictable as this. I love it. I do so wish for an epilogue though and the more time was spent exploring the characters’ lives after the curse was broken because the pacing of everything other than that was great. Although, it was a little hard to know which bit was a past perspective and whose perspective it was; so maybe some subtitles or something?

Review after half of the novel

I’m enjoying this novel. Full of mysteries and secrets from the past Would like for her to be able to talk soon. Can’t wait to see how the book turns out to be. It’s hard to find novels that have a past story behind the present and the protagonist. The author has a full story and really knows what they’re doing. Excited to read and learn and even see myself inside the book as if I’m part of the story
