I like the power dynamic between the Commander and her. He has a soft spot for her because she isn’t like anyone else and is just trying to survive. I wish Ardon would grow a backbone his character is whiny and annoying at times. I hope he redeems himself in the future and hopefully Bimby gets the respect he deserves. I also hope Angelika and Frostina get what’s coming to their entitled *sses! Can’t wait to see where the story goes next!

Intrigue, plots, betrayal, lust and love. Class dynamics, bratty princess types and rags-to-riches protagonist who is also a bit of a prude. The male leads are hot blooded and just hot! I enjoyed reading all the dirty talk, steamy sexcapades and the dominant male lead. I also love that there's a gay relationship represented too but their story is so tame compared to the heterosexual pair ups. Well-paced storytelling, albeit it is a short novel. I would recommend this short novel.

I loved how the ones who mistreated in the beginning found a happy ending after all the torture life threw at them. The unraveling of villains was so life like i could picture being a fly in the room of their plotting schemes. It was nice twist to watch frostina give up her upperclass training and life for love. All this being said it would be nice to know if she ever tells buck the baby is his and how their life turns out. It would also be nice to see if ardon can turn the tide and rewrite the old laws bring peace and honor to his pack. Maybe in a second book?????

This is a comparably well written story with a quite intriguing plot. We follow the powerful sneaky noble men and women and cheer on the good people of the low classes. The main character Bettoni is forced into a marriage that she is reluctant to in the beginning, but the couple start trusting each other and a warm and steamy relationship is formed. As usual in this application the chapters are really short and the commercials are really long, but i would recommend this novel anyway.

It's a great story, it has depth and a really good storyline. It's not only romance but also talks about all the intrigues at a royal court. It is not predictable and because of that it holds your attention. English is nog my first language but still it is easy to read and to comprehend. I would recommend this story to everyone who likes romance, bravoury, love, political intrigue and interesting characters. So a very good read and a thanks too the writer.

I Really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were really interesting and well described. The interactions between the characters were unpredictable and engaging. I loved the twists and turns of the story. It was great the way the roles ended up reversing and the underdog ended being the winner. I sincerely hope that the author writes a sequel as I’d love to know what happens to Bryant , Buck and Frostina as well as Bettoni and her pregnancy. Is it happily ever after

Hmmm...I do not know what to say about this book. Definitely not my favourite. Too...extreme let's say...It is not the worst book, of course. It did keep my interest awake up to the end but it was somehow painful to read. This need for revenge is too overwhelming. The writing style is also not the best. I'd say it's not flowing easily, it's bumpy. Like a walk in the woods where there are a lot of roots and rocks and you constantly trip...

Very refreshing! I was hooked from the very first chapter. It reminded me a lot of *The Cruel Prince*, but I actually found it even more engaging. I'm really happy with the ending. The storylines of all the characters were wrapped up beautifully. I felt a little sorry for Angelika. She deserved to face the consequences, but I thought her story would end on a happier note. I'd love to read about what happens next to the general and his new fiancée, as well as Buck and his chosen one. 😅 I'm curious whether such a spoiled, mean-spirited woman could really manage life as an ordinary village girl. And, of course, our prince-the-coward—I wonder if he'd ever manage to change the law...

I really enjoyed this novel. It was well paced. I never felt it was dragging or rushed. In fact I could hardly put it down. It was a well rounded novel. It didn’t drag out the abuse like some novels. I liked the development of Zachary and Bettoni’s relationship. I also enjoyed the development of the side characters. Some you loved others you hated and some interesting twists I didn’t expect. I would definitely recommend this novel.
