Awesome book. Very detailed and well put together. Has good explanations and doesn't get confusing with the storyline and information. There is also times where you know what is going to happen but you get thrown for enough of a loop that you enjoy the story even more. Mei and Chris come from such different backgrounds and the way they understand each other and can be on the same page for everything and have no fights or disagreements between them.

I decided to tackle this book after completing the book 1 Queen among Alpha. Although the fear of all the pain that Mei had to go through scared me from reading it I absolutely enjoyed this book. I continue to look forward to your other books. This books had a lot of twist, and surprises. It also had a lot of anticipation and the climax was very much a climax indeed. Loved the book!! Thank you again for your wonderful work!

The 2nd book in this series just further prooves why this is my favourite author. The world building and mythos are off the charts, but the emotion & character growth are mind blowing. I cried so much through Mei's story. The emotions were so authentic it was sometimes like a real personal was opening up to me about their struggles. Mei's pain and Chris's love and support made the sweet and tender moments all the sweeter. Such an endearing character that restores your faith in people. Please read this book and this series!
