Chapter 1 The Prologue
THE TENSION in my heart is too much to handle. I gripped my bouquet tighter than ever as I tried to keep my composure and prevent myself to stumble out of too much nervousness. The sweet song dominating the silence isn't helping. My hands started sweating as I caught a pair of green eyes looking at me—no, glaring at me. Those green eyes are as if piercing through my soul that I couldn't even breathe properly.
I'm marrying the coldest businessman I know, and it makes me want to run away.
How did we end up in this situation? I don't know. All I could remember is my father forcing me to marry his colleague's son.
I was taken back to the reality when I felt my father gently pressing my arm. He's sending me to my future husband.
My lips parted in fear when I reached the altar. He faced me and his face became even more stoic. His jaw clenched and all I could do is avoid his gaze.
I know he's angry, I can definitely tell, but I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't force my father to push this marriage. Not only that, but I fiercely refuse during our engagement a year ago, and I thought our parents already gave up on us.
“Please take care of my daughter, Tyron.”
I fixed my gaze on the bouquet in my hand as I felt his presence beside me. He just remained silent. He didn't even bother holding my hand and accompanying me to the priest.
I chewed my lower lip. He's so cold.
The wedding goes on and the rapid beat of my heart is deafening me. His silence even scares me. I know, we can't make this marriage work. He doesn't like me, and I felt the same way. I want to marry the man who cares for me. I want to get married out of love, not out of business.

The wedding ended not so well. I almost stumbled on my feet and Tyron just ignored me. After the wedding, we head home straight, to Tyron Vander's house.
I soon as I stepped inside his house, his glare at me worsen.
“Listen, lady. You are not allowed to sleep in any rooms on the second floor, not even in my room. You will sleep on that couch and don't you dare meddle with my life.” he fiercely warned me.
I felt something heavy in my heart, but I nodded at him, agreeing to whatever he said. I don't have the rights to complain. We're not a real couple.
Chapter 2
I WOKE UP feeling pain in my back. My neck hurts and it's making me uncomfortable. Slowly, I opened my eyes. A white ceiling welcomed me and memories of what happened yesterday started flashing back in my mind. The marriage. His cold stares. His blazing green eyes and his sharp words.
I slowly sat on the couch where I slept last night. I gripped my wedding dress. I haven't changed into comfortable clothes. I felt excruciating pain attacking me.
I was ready to stretch my body when I head footsteps. I look behind me only to see Tyron holding something. Those are my bags.
He stopped a few meters away from me and threw my bags on the floor. “Get your things and don't you dare put that in my closet.”
“B-But...” I tried to protest but his blazing green eyes stopped me. I wasn't the one who put my things on his closet. I think it was his dad.
Why is he treating me this way? Should I tell dad about it? What if he didn't believe me?
“Listen, woman, I don't
