It is so refreshing to read a book about an older woman, not just a young teen still in highschool or fresh out of college. I'm really loving the family dynamics among the extended cast. It's also been great to have a male lead who is dominant without being a jerk to the main character! So far, the storyline and plot has been intriguing, I can't wait to see how the rest of the story pans out. Brava, Brava, Brava!

I wasn’t to sure about this book in the beginning, but the more I read it, the more I loved it, it would have been nice to conclude a few characters like the father and a few other characters, and include others a bit more. This book only took me a few days from start to finish. It was also a slightly different style of plot than I’m used to, but it’s also well worth the read.

Love this novel. Finally a man empowering a woman to be her big, beautiful, blushing self. A very realistic depiction of tragedies and joyful expression of existing in the moment. I was concerned for the characters in their darkest moments and elated when they burst forth with their need to be seen and appreciated for who they were. I would be invested in them as friends or family if they breathed beyond the written word. Thank you for writing such a emotion-capturing story.

I absolutely love this novel. Reading the different points of view from all the characters helps the context. I can't wait to read more to see what else happens. Love that she found a man to worship her. Im a plus size woman so this books hits home with a lot of things. I hope Jolene can get out before something really bad happens. Glad Jaxon has the support of his family to support his relationship. Im so looking forward to the rest of the book.

Love, love, love! LOTS of characters to keep track of (and there are sometimes where the author even mixes up names) BUT the overall story and range of relationships and unconditional family acceptance is truly lovely. Trigger warnings for physical and sexual abuse (only one storyline- upsetting but not the majority/ focus of the overall plot). I found myself truly invested emotionally- ranging from crying to laughing out loud- often within rhe same chapter! Excited to read the sequel. Definitely recommend.

I first started to read this novel on a whim, while waiting for time to pass to unlock a new chapter on a different novel I was reading in a different app. It was a pleasant surprise from the alpha/werewolf novels that seem to inundate my ads. Admittedly, the beginning of this novel was a bit confusing, as I was hit with multiple characters at once that I had to figure out who was who. After a few chapters I settled in and am excited to see how the story lines and relationships unfold! I really like how Reese is taking his time with Helen and I hope Jolene finds courage to do what must be done. I’m curious to see what kind of young man JD will grow to be and how the family’s growth will impact everyone. Hopefully there will be a few dark plot twists to keep me entertained

This novel is absolutely amazing. I love the fact that there are quotes at the beginning of every chapter. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat with suspense, always making sure to make it where you can’t wait to get to the next chapter. The characters are all relatable and well written. I love how Reese loves Helen and how he makes her see her beauty, and theater is enough. This is one right not blended family!

I absolutely loved this book. When you can read a book that makes you feel all the emotions of the characters, that's amazing quoting l writing. I have cried reading this book and laughed reading this book. I could identify with and understand each character. I never wanted to put the book down! Being an avid reader, it great to have such a fresh story and series to enjoy. There was awesome character development even if for some, you're wanting more from them. I truly hope to enjoy the next book in the series. Awesome!

The characters are really well developed. And there are more than one romance. It has a little bit for everyone. There is the mature relationship with the twist of dominance. The polygamous relationship with bisexuality & a surprise pregnancy. Also how well accepted it is by the mom. Even a sweet high school romance. My only complaint would be that I'm at chapter 40 & no heat, nothing, nada. I usually like my stories smoking hot. But maybe it's a slow burn.
