Hyacinth, 15, was found by her mate, 20, while his warriors were killing her family and pack. Apparently, they deserved that, although Hyacinth didn’t know. Fortunately, her family was a prepper family, and she and her brother were able to escape from those wolves and her mate’s plans for her. And they were happily escaped for 3 years before they were suddenly found. And they were taken captive to Alpha Leander’s, her mate, pack. All kinds of talk and action frightened the now 18 yo young woman, and though the mate bond is pulling hard, she is afraid of Leander’s intentions, nor does she wish to mate with her parents’ murderers. Insults, attraction, horrible punishments (there needs to be a horror warning), and other events follow. It’s a good story with pretty good writing, except. Except for the reason I gave this story a middling rating due to spanking. I don’t know why women today think spanking is sexually arousing. Perhaps they were not spanked as children, and Millenial men think these women need it to become obedient and submissive. All we need to do now in America is to bring spanking back to schools, along with Bibles, and we’re back in the 1600’s again along with a lack of healthcare for women whose bodies don’t work right when nature screws up. Read if you like slow burn sexual tension, a virgin being introduced to sex by a slutty alpha, the maturing of a couple who come to terms with each other’s parentage, and a really interesting story in which, nowadays, it’s ok to spank grown women.
