"Don't touch me!" "Then come touch me yourself, little flame," he drawled, a dangerous smirk tugging at his lips. "You have no idea," he murmured, his breath grazing her skin, "how hard it was not to claim you the first time I saw you dance. All those years wasted." "Feel that?" His words were sharp, cruelly honest. "That's what your defiance does to me. You can fight, resist, or run—but you'll never escape what's between us, sweetheart." At a young age, Mirabella Antonio lost everything. Her parents died suddenly in a car crash, leaving behind heavy debts. A year later, her older brother, David, was murdered while trying to protect her from the men they owed. And at the center of it all stood Hunter Groves. Four years later, fate brings them face-to-face again. He wants her back in his world—and this time, he's not letting go. She hates him for what he's done. He's obsessed with what he can't forget. In a dangerous game of power, passion, and revenge, love becomes the most perilous weapon of all. Note: This is a dark romance featuring an intense, morally gray male lead. Reader discretion is advised.

Review after half of the novel

I like how Hunter is introducing Mira to his world. It's means that he is finally opening his heart as he always confined his feelings and always portrayed himself as someone completely heartless although the tactic of doing this is not the right way but it's shows how he is willing to give love a chance in his twisted way.I understand how Mira feels in this situation as lets be honest not all people will give his or her heart to a person how is not only obsessed with you but may be suspected in her brother's death.
