I absolutely love the characters, the way they developed throughout the story. I can’t get enough of it. It kept me hooked from the beginning. It’s definitely worth the read. I feel a kinship with Elliot as someone with social anxiety. I also feel a kinship with him with how Jax helped him become more confident. My husband did the same for me. It makes me look back and smile. I love when a book/novel makes me remember my past fondly

Really good story. Coming of age romance. Nothing heavy but it is a fantasy most of us from high school or college have dreamed about. I ignored desires that are not the norm during that period of my life, stuffing my feelings and attraction. I ran competitively and often watch guys deluding myself that I was just admiring their skills. This story is touching and young love/first love is great to read that I can’t put this book down.

Omg I’m so loving this book. I seem to find myself reading more bl books because they hit different. I love the slow build of this book and it’s a real romance book. To see that opposite really do attract and how close they are getting is like wow. It’s like Jax’s always had a thing for him and reed just had a crush on the wrong person from the jump. I can’t wait to read the next chapter and see more of how this unfolds

It discripes perfectly the conflicts of first love and especially same sex love. The first shy touch, seemingly accidental, the blush, the shame, the embarrassment - we've all been there. And how you get used to the turmoil just seeing the one person somewhere. Even as the old girl of 60+ I am now, I'm propelled back to my teenage years. Aww, memories, sigh. Was that really this many years ago? Thanks to this book it feels like yesterday!
