I have enjoyed reading this novel thus far. Daryl is a character you root for and there are plenty of characters to loathe. The story line flows well though some characters and backgrounds are underdeveloped. We find out the woman his husband used her as a blood bank for was the lover of an old military friend, but that backstreet hasn't been fleshed out. The story is the classic, "you don't know what you've got til its gone"trope. Overall a decent read.

So far the novel is a good read. I do like the twists and turns so far. The added power of the underdog to come out on top is good. I find it hard to believe that no one did a good background search of the lead character. I would believe it more if the family had built her a fake history. Seeing as they are old money, it would be believable. But as it is going I like the entertainment level.

Das ist eine starke Frau, das find ich super. Endlich steht sie für sich ein und zeigt allen was sie drauf hat. Ihr ignoranter Ex hat alles verdient, was auch immer sie sich für ihn einfallen lässt. Diese Art von Depp weiß immer erst wenn es zu spät ist, was er verloren hat. Hoffentlich findet sie einen Mann, der ihrer wert ist und sie zu schätzen weiß. Wobei jemand wie sie bestimmt nicht auf den Support eines Kerls angewiesen ist.

Great story. Nice to see a strong woman character that eventually realises that being submissive isn’t the answer. Her brother and best friends are also fantastic and stick behind her. The author has built wonderfully full characters that one can relate to. Wish the chapters were longer though as it is taking extremely long to finish this book however I am still hooked! I need to check if the author has written any other books as I would definitely love to read the other books

I love Darya's mind and how she gets revenge without getting mad, just devious and slick. Can't wait for all those who speculate her relationship to Avery gets revealed. They are all got to find their jaws on the floor and feel foolish. I really enjoy how she handles her ex-sister-in-law at every turn. Micha was an idiot for not seeing what he had when he had it. Now that he's kicking himself after seeing her in a new light is just beautiful.

good short story, with a lot of drama and situations where I can smile, or laugh out loud at the situation. good characters, good story and good description of various people's attitudes. nice reading when I'm at work monitoring a sleeping person. easy to read and also easy to understand. So far the story is AMAZING!!! Darya is a take no prisoners type of woman who was once married to Micah a stunning aloof man. While married Darya was meek and mild to Micah's family and friends and allowed them to walk all over her. Now she's a billionaire heiress with 3 older brothers and the princess of her family. Together with her best friend Bianca, she takes the business and social season by storm all while showing Micah a whole different woman. Micah starts learning how to appreciate who she is now and he wants her back.

This is a great book so far. It's faster paced than some I've read and I am glad of that. The characters are interesting and diverse. I love that her ex husband is finally coming around to seeing he messed up big time. Hopefully he can change his attitude. Also if I had a mother and sister like he does, they would have been disowned and exiled a long time ago. Enjoy reading this book, it's going to be a bumpy ride for all involved.

I'm really enjoying this novel so far! Darya is awesome and I'm excited to see her kick ass with the loving and skilled people she surrounds herself with. The antagonists are really unlikeable, so her rise in power is very satisfying. My thoughts on Micah are to be determined. He seems like a good guy at his core, but how unreasonable he was with all the blood draws before the novel started makes me feel like he has a big hole to climb out of for me to actually root for him.

Interesting, slow pace but has enough intrigue to keep reading. Miscommunication is rather rife, yet I like the family dynamic of the McCalisters. Intrigued enough to keep reading, want to see how it ends. Like the clear POV, and the slow addition of other voices. I do find the pace to be slow, very little forward motion on the story line of the ex. The new job and her actions jn learn, dealing with her job, find this dragging and losing attention and a bit of interest.
