I’m not sure if I really like this story. I’m glad that it had a happily ever after; however, the trauma that the main female character goes through is a lot. I would have liked to have read more chapters from the main male character’s point of view. His point of view chapters were scattered into the story and so few and far between. This is a bit nit picky, but I didn’t feel that mafia-like. The mafia don part of the story and the way it written did not seem believable to be. Otherwise, the pacing is pretty good, and the storyline is decent.

Great read was annoying that Matteo ruined her like that how she forgave him is beyond me I'm glad they adopted Faye as for Hailey and Allison I am surprised they didn't get murdered. Matteo should have killed his dad earlier in the the story and keith is a legend I had a feeling he was in love with her. To cut out the marriage was dumb and bits of the story a quite repetitive but I really enjoyed this story will look for more by this author

The book is quite an interesting one. I loved the ups and downs, the twists and turns. It's just an amazing book to read. I also love the part where Matt let go of Jean because of his love for her. But it hurt that it took Jean 2 years to realise how much she needed Matt in her life. I also love the fact that Faye became a part of the Moretti family. I also love the fact that Keith respected his friend enough not to go after Jean after their divorce. He got his reward in the end though, a wife and beautiful daughter.

The book had me in tears a lot, I could feel the emotion and the chemistry from both Jean and Matteo…… despite what they went through am happy they still found their way to each other… and for Keith it took long enough for him to marry but he was a great friend that he put his friends Infact Jean and Matt were his family first before he could think of himself, such a wonderful selfless man he is….. well done on this book

It was hard reading what she endured at the hands of Mattio. After he realizes the only way to be free from his father’s wrath is to kill him, the book got better and better. Love the outcome. If you can read through some intense abuse then the book makes a complete turnaround and a lot less dark. Finding forgiveness was how I knew she loved him beyond measure. You have to have a raw and deep seated love to be able to forgive them for such horrible act.
