Pretty average read. The ending felt a bit rushed, chapters are too short and the main character irritated me quite a bit. Albie was a bit much in the beginning with his possessiveness and arrogance and ego but over time he seemed to calm down. There were some unrealistic parts and would have been nice to know what country they went to imo. Overall I get the idea of it being a short love story and it delivered in that respect but that's it.

This was a great love story, a great book I couldn’t put it down. From heartbreak to ecstasy, from marriage to betrayal, this book has it all. I enjoyed the look into each characters past, present, and the unfolding future. There was some confusion about chapter 91, which had nothing to do with this book. It’s characters weren’t any that were in the book or no people we had ever heard of. It made you stop and wonder if it was some mistake.

The storyline is a bit boring. Lacking momentum in keeping it engaging. The author doesn’t seem to fully research things before writing on them. Writer did not edit or get the book edited. The number of wrong words used is high. The misspellings are high. The name changes of the main character. Idk if her name is Elise or Elsie. It’s different every other use of it. The writer is definitely not native English speaker and that fine if they get an editor to fix errors. It used the word eluded for exuded and crease instead of caress. That’s just the 2 I found most annoying personally. The author also had a scene where the main character and her friend went to a bar. They were harassed by men and separated they both left separately after arriving together without any communication of this or making sure the other was ok until the following day. Writers name is female but I wonder if it’s a man. I think a woman writer would understand the dangers of that type of action. Yes it’s a book not real life but I just feel that it’s bad form to act like women aren’t in serious danger in those situations and for them to be so careless of each other is gross even in a book.

The book is amazing overall, but the author needs to proofread and correct all the spelling and grammar mistakes because it can be annoying to have to correct almost 2 words or tenses in each paragraph. Oh well I loved the chemistry between the Elsie and Albie even though the story felt a bit rushed but it was worth it, If I had any coins left I'd definitely give a gift 🎁 There's always room for improvement and I can't wait to read more from this particular author.

Thank you for thus novel. I love Elsie she is so decisive in her actions when she found out that Daniel was cheating on her with her assistant. Good move to completely changing her surroundings. Albie was so confident in pursuing her. I hope he can break down the walls Elsie is trying to build around her. All in all it is a sweet romantic noval, I am enjoying reading it in my downtime a nice relaxing read thank you to the author.

I’m loving this book so far. Love that it doesn’t take too many coins and it’s cheap and loving each chapter as it goes along. Albie and Elsie are so cute and can’t wait to see if they end up together or not and can’t wait to see what happens to Daniel and what’s next to him. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the book brings and again I’m loving it

Very good! There was an odd chapter towards the end that introduced you to the characters in the next novel which was fine but again it was just placed it the absolute worst spot! It should have been the last chapter after the character is introduced as the mains assistant. It was unnatural and you didn’t make the connection until the very end but other than that it was a great story and a good read. Would recommend this book.

I really enjoy the writing of Albie and Elsie, especially seeing that he doesn't want to control her he likes how independent she is but currently where I'm at he is letting himself be vulnerable to try and show her that he has no means of trying to change her but to merely prove how much he cares for her. I wish I get to see there relationship develop nicely I need Albie to find out Esme is the woman the ex husband cheated with

I loved it but I notice in all the books I read, that people go thru hell because they don’t know how to take or communicate with each other. If only they did things would be better. But then again sometimes it takes people longer to understand what they’re going through because they’re just thinking they’re not good enough or deserve to be happy & enjoy yourself and be happy with yourself because that’s what makes them better!

I'm enjoying this one. Strong independent woman divorces college sweetheart, who cheated on her, and is actively pursued by a colleague. So far the novel sticks to the trope, but is refreshing enough with its characters and their personalities to step beyond the mold. Grammar and word switch issues are common for translation novels, but it's not a deal breaker here. This could be an AI novel and not a Chinese translation which could explain the reduction in those issues. So far so good and I'm planning on finishing this one.
