I’ve spent the last several chapters just skimming through the text as it has been quite monotonous. The boss goes on a trip for business and we have to go through a week of his mother making the assistant run stupid non work errand and be berated. It was an agony yo get through it and could have been condensed. I’m trying to figure out how having to give a mani pedi to the mom at the office has anything to do anything for the context of the book?

This was a great novel. I enjoyed reading it. It was different from what I usually read, but I am glad I read it. The story did move slow at times, but not enough to make you give up on it. Also, I felt the characters could have been developed a little bit more. Sometimes characters would be reintroduced into the storyline and your would have to stop and try to figure out who they were. Also, there were some editing problems and mixing up of names that could confuse the reader. However, it was overall a great story and I would recommend it.
