It started out as one story, but then switched to another. Very confusing and irritating. I kept reading and did get interested in the second storyline. I was enjoying the story, but the author just up and left us with a very unsatisfying ending. Everything in the story was just left hanging. There needs to be another book to wrap up all the different character storylines. If this is the absolute ending for this story, it is not worth your time or money to read.

In all honesty the book started off great Elodi was strong, Mika was a great friend and Calhoun was an aggravating choice of man but I was curious to see how the story would continue with these people. When the story showed she’d moved on I was ok with that. But then the story changed completely. Like the first relationship. With Calhoun no longer existed. The back story became inconsistent, she met Dante and left her dreams right after work. But she was already done school and working for Calhoun for years. Mila was never mentioned again and the story blossomed into another story entirely. One very similar to another story with a different. And and characters but exactly starts off the same. She comes home hoping for a little family birthday time for herself and daughter is making a bday gift for the mistress. Husband and daughter bother want the mistress and she leaves giving away custody and started her life in tech, in research etc. and moved on with life, still doing her due diligence to her daughter as the person who gave birth but just the bare minimum.

To many storylines that aren’t connected. Pick one and stick with it. Preferably the first one. The Calhoun storyline. Who changes stories and completely rewrites the characters history in the middle of the story. It makes no sense. I assume this is an AI story from the lack on consistency it has. I think my 10 year old grand daughter can do better at writing a consistent story than this writer is. It’s not worth the money to read it.

Love, love, love this story. It always amazes me that people don't realize what they have till it's gone, then they want it back but by then it's too late. The complex theme in this novel is well written and very relatable to everyone. We have all been in some similar situations ( not rich although we would all like that lol) but trying to fight for something that you either lost or never had. I love the emotions this story brings out

This is such a great sorry. You feel so sad for her every time but you lover her courage to finally fight back and stick up for herself. You wonder where it’s all going to end and if her and first love will get back together. You wonder what is going to happen with her daughter. The story really grabs you. You want to keep reading because you are so invested in the characters you want to know what happens next.

Realistic, the internal process of finding, reclaiming, or - ' rediscovering, self-worth and self-love; but how low does she have to go? What’s her red line? I would like at least to see some coexistence of weakness and a self realization of needing to fight her own fight. But kudos to the writer for keeping us on our toes and cheering on for her. Have not reached the end yet so I’m pressing on. Thank you for a great storyline!

Absolutely love this novel. I cannot seem to put it down I do believe in second chances though and would love it if she gives her first love another chance … because her husband is a nasty piece of work. I do how he suffers when she leaves him. I suppose I would have to keep reading … I hope she really gets back into the AI thing and makes her name highly successful. I hope they all eat their words in the end.

The author spent half the novel showing her female character as a wimp. Not why at all. Then it’s like the first part of the book was supposed to another book. The ending wasn’t an ending.more like a season ending cliff hanger. Oh, and the names! Character names would change mid sentence and then switch back. The premise might be a good idea, it’s like the author had 2 books going at the same time and they were so similar that the author kept inserting the wrong names. Enjoy the extremely long and bumpy road.

Love the storyline, the details. I just wish the chapters weren’t so short, also right now I am hoping Calhoun comes back. I feel Elodis needs to stand up for herself. She is moving but staying quiet again. It does get tiring. I guess there is hope since we are halfway through. I will try to get through the end to see if she finally speaks up instead of others saying things in her defense AFTER she is gone. We just have to wait and see….

Interesting story. The first part of the story seemed to segue into a completely different one, without any transition or explanation for the shift. The writing was okay, seemed to be a translation to English from another language, with noticeably strange syntax on occasion. The storyline was wrought & repetitive, slow moving & the characters, while potentially interesting, lacked roundedness and depth. There were inconsistencies with setting & cultural references, (for instance the setting is in Italy and yet chopsticks are used as eating utensils; the names of the characters are a hodgepodge of Anglo and other cultural names, but none that would be indigenous to the geographical setting), and the whole werewolf thing seemed like it was thrown in as an afterthought. The ending was… unsatisfying. I mean… do I regret spending as much time (and money) as I dis on this story? I’m not sure. I really wanted there to be some sort of redemption arc for the main female character, more than what was presented at the “end”. The whole ”dead inside” thing got pretty old, especially with respect to her child in the story. I was hoping for a clearer story structure and a more solid denouement. I’ve read a few of these “app” stories and some are definitely better than others. This one had potential but fell short.
