There were a lot of twists and turns.. most of them just left me more confused. What exactly is the supreme bond, why can only one couple have it? Why was everyone trying to steal Lucien's essence? If the prophecy was true and someone had managed to get his essence would they have become the source to end the world? Was it their desire to end the world to begin with and if so why would they need his essence to do it? Story wasn't as interesting as some of the others I have read on here. It wasn't a bad story though.

I love this author. But I’m very confused by this book. One minute the alpha male will be dead by his birthday in 3 days and after weeks it hasn’t been mentioned yet he’s still alive. His wife signed papers believing that they would only be married for three months but did not read them so she does not know that there is no deadline for the length of the marriage. One minute he is doing horrible things to her and the next minute they are fine and dandy. It’s all over the map.
