The female lead experiences new things and becomes very uncertain and unsure if herself during the novel. She doesn't trust her thoughts because they don't align with her feelings towards the male leads. The Male and female lead try hard to push each away. Shattered Altar_ is a dark mafia romance about *Aleksander*, a ruthless crime boss, and *Olivia*, an ordinary woman whose brother is a cop. Aleksander kidnaps Olivia as revenge against her brother who arrested his men. What starts as leverage and hatred quickly turns into obsession. Trapped in Aleksander’s world, Olivia refuses to break. As secrets come out and danger closes in, the line between captor and protector blurs. The story leans into forced proximity, possessive alpha male, and enemies-to-lovers tropes. Aleksander is cold and dangerous, but becomes fiercely devoted to Olivia. It shows different emotions at different episodes. It defines their characters thoroughly and the story looks realistic enough to make emotions arise within a reader reading the novel.
