BLACK INDUSTRIES BOOK 1 Damian Black has always had everything—wealth, power, and the world at his feet. But when his father’s will drops a bombshell, the stakes skyrocket. To secure his inheritance, Damian must do the unthinkable: get married. As the eldest of the Black brothers, Damian’s playboy lifestyle is suddenly on the line. He’s determined to find the perfect woman, but none of them have measured up. Enter Adalyn West, Damian’s long-time personal assistant. Efficient, unflappable, and with a sharp wit that has kept Damian in line for years, Adalyn is the last woman he ever expected to consider as a bride. Adalyn’s been by his side for years, handling every detail of his life with quiet efficiency. She’s smart, loyal, and definitely not the type to cause him any trouble. Plus, she knows him better than anyone else. But there’s one problem— Damian has never seen Adalyn as more than just his PA, and the thought of marrying her feels too close for comfort. As Adalyn steps into the role of Damian’s wife, sparks fly in ways neither of them expected. What starts as a convenient arrangement quickly spirals into something far more complicated. Damian’s heart, once locked away, begins to thaw as his new wife shows him a side of herself he never knew existed. But with old flames, business rivals, and the weight of the Black legacy bearing down, Damian must decide if he’s willing to risk everything—including his heart—for the one woman who might just be perfect for him.

When I was a child, my grandma used to tell me stories. At the time, I never gave them much thought. Thinking they were just that… stories. Growing up, I soon realized that they weren’t lofty fantasies and fairy tales but memories of her past, memories of our ancestors before our world turned to sh*t. You see, what comes from legend, no matter how exaggerated the story becomes, there is always a sliver of truth. You just need to weed out the fiction from fact. My grandmother used to tell me stories of the Chosen One—the one who would save us all. When I was younger, I used to believe that what she said was true. Eventually, someone would be born, just as the Oracle predicted—someone who could save our souls and bind us back to our magic. Once I grew up and saw the world unfolding around me, I no longer believed in salvation. The chosen one seemed to be more of a prayer than reality. Some dream we wanted desperately to come true. Something in which we needed to find hope when there wasn’t any left. When our ancestors turned their backs on us, how were we expected to believe in this so-called salvation? Especially when all we witnessed was death and carnage ever since the great war. Nothing except pain and poverty. I used to believe the stories and used to pray for the mysterious chosen one that would rid our world of its evil. Now, though, I see it for what it really is, just a dream of hope. Some out of reach fairy-tale. A story to create hope. Hope is dangerous; it makes you believe things will get better. I stopped hanging on to hope when I witnessed firsthand that it caused nothing but heartache.

"They've decided to marry me off," I say, "To Blackmoor." Grace's brows lift slightly. "I know." "You... what?" "Father told me after council," she says easily. "It's a smart move." I swallow. "Grace, it's Alpha Gaven. He's dangerous. They say he killed his own father. That he..." "That he rules effectively," she interrupts. "Which is more than can be said for most Alphas who hesitate." I stare at her. "I'm scared. I am not enough for him. We both know that. He will sense it as soon as he meets me." I hate myself for offering it so freely. But she's my sister. If I don't say it to her, I don't know who I could. "I need help," I say. "I can't go to Blackmoor. I don't have a wolf. I don't even know how to..." She cuts me off, "You're not meant to be Luna. You are just meant to warm his bed from time to time. Give him an heir or two." Grace continues, "But I am meant to be Alpha. And this alliance makes that possible. Blackmoor's support will silence any challenges. The elders will fall in line. I can take my rightful place." *** Fern was supposed to be the heir who would secure the pack's future. When she was born a girl and never received a wolf, Fern was cast aside and raised among the Omegas, treated as little more than a servant in her own pack. So when her father trades her in a political marriage to secure an alliance, Fern understands exactly what she is: expendable. Her contracted mate is Alpha Gaven of Blackmoor, the most feared Alpha on the continent. What Fern doesn't know is that Gaven recognizes her as his true mate the moment he scents her. And he refuses her. To Fern, he is a monster forged in blood and power. To Gaven, the bond is a cruel twist of fate he refuses to accept. Bound by contract , they clash at every turn as resentment, obsession, and forbidden desire begin to blur the line between hatred and need.

"“Didn't forget me, Ava?"" He pinned me to wall. I bit my lip, resisting his Alpha scent... ""How did you get out?"" finger traced my face. ""Do you think you can escape, mate?""Xavier was acting irrationally, behaving in ways that were hard for her to predict and harder to defend against. On top of everything else, the mating bond was back in earnest, riding her hard and making Ava hyperaware of every single point of contact where Xavier’s body met her own. Her body began heating up of its own volition, responding purely to his proximity. The scent of wood ash and violets was nearly suffocating. Ava bit her lip, and turned her head away, unwilling to throw the first jab. He’d brought her here and he was the one keeping her here. If he had something to do, nothing was stopping him. “Is this all you’ve got for me, Ava?” When he finally spoke, his voice was rough and lustful. “You used to be better at this.” ******** Being accused of murdering the Alpha’s sister and lover, Ava was sent to the dungeon three years ago. Life imprisonment. These two words were too heavy to take. Ava lost her pride, her friends, her belief and her love in that night. After three years, she was sent out secretly to a s*x club – the Green Light Club, where she got the reunion with her Alpha, Xavier. And she was astonished to find out who they really were… Three years of abusive life changed her life. She ought to seek for a revenge. She ought to bark with scars, vengeance and hatreds. But she owe to someone. And she must keep her promise. The only thing she could think about was escaping. However, Xavier offered a deal. But she must ‘pay’ for her freedom and atonement. In the meantime, she gradually found out the truth about what happened three years ago. A plot."
