Interesting so far. A bit more realistic in that Valen does not immediately know Everly is his mate. Is Kalen going to threaten Everly over Valerie again ? Why are the rogues treated so badly, it would seem there would be a rogue in most shifter families. I do like that Valen and Valerian have some of the same quirks. Would shifters have obsessive compulsive disorder or neurodivergence? How will Alph John and Alpha Kalen get there dues? Does make me want to keep reading.
