This one held my interest felt sad wanted slap Marcus for falling for all of the conniving lies with Olivia never question hoped the writer would have let Evelyn be pregnant would have been quit interesting between the three why did Marcus not find out Olivia baby was Gabriel would have loved to read if something blossomed between Dean and Charlotte we have idea of what happened with Gabriel and Charlotte but a hint of their fate would have been interesting overall it was a well written novel

I really enjoyed this story although I was getting a bit confused I thought earlier in the story he (Gabriel) was related to Marcus a cousin not just a friend or work colleague! At the end he's a partner of some sort. Olivia baby is supposed to be Marcus's but we know it's Gabriel's but Marcus never finds that out so why doesn't he fight for his supposed child. Also it was Charlotte who was involved in the hit and run on Leah but that's never brought into the open I very much enjoyed this story but feel that there were unanswered parts and it finished rather plainly,

The worlds of the rich and greedy! The pain and heartaches caused by lies, deceit, and deception by people you think you can trust— family— boggles my mind. Great story! I stayed up two nights because I couldn’t set it down even to sleep. I loved the intrigue, hated the lies, and cheating. Truly a great storyline.I can’t imagine how things might have turned out if Charlotte hadn’t had a conscience. If you like a bit of thriller, this is it.

This wasn't my usual genre of reading material but I throughly enjoyed it. The plot was well written and the characters were believable. The whole scene between the two main characters was at times gripping and intense, with the on the edge of your seat action. Now I have read something from this genre I will try another one. This book is a great read, and will not disappoint you, it didn't disappoint me and I'm picky!

A well written novel full of jealousy, hate, and passion. The twists and turns in the lives of all the characters threw up some surprises throughout the entire book. The amount of intrigue and backstabbing kept the reader wondering “What next?” The characters were believable and I felt invested in the two main characters throughout. I particularly felt for Dean who had strong feelings for one of the main characters but put his own feelings aside for the happiness of Evelyn. There were a lot of strands within this story which came together beautifully at the end.

This is an intriguing story. I like the mystery happening. I’m not good at writing a book review. I want Marcus and Evelyn to get together. She still loves him but he’s such a wuss. I’d like to see him smarten up and tell everyone to f&@k off. Take control if he so in charge, tell his mother to back off as well. Evelyn needs to tell everyone to back off as well. Quit being so agreeable.

Slow start and seems to take forever for simple scenes to play out and then important scenes seem to be rushed. Plot is good with some twists. I had a hard time really feeling the connection between Evelyn and Marcus. Doesn’t seem to have passion. Maybe it was too much from the past. Would be nice to have a little more description of what the characters look like too. Overall a good book, I read the whole thing without losing interest.

This story gave me everything I wanted in a good read. It had intrigue, suspense and action. The only critique was the heroine was too naive for my taste. Wish that she was less trusting. Her character could have been developed more. The story also didn't answer the question if Marcus found out about being tricked about the paternity of Olivia's baby. The ending left a few unanswered questions about the protagonist and what happened to them after the arrest.

This is a great novel. Usually I can predict what is going to happen by the end, this one I can also but all the issues in between are a good distraction to the final outcome. I think I know how this is going to go, but another biatch tries to stop our couple from being together. I’m still rooting for our main couple to be together, but I can see where it would and could take a nasty turn. Go Evelyn and Marcus!!
