My name is Katia; I want to find my fated mate and live a peaceful life raising our pups. The problem is I have holes in my memories and don’t understand who or what I am. I know I am a werewolf, but I am also something else. Rejection is the last straw! I am not worthy is the reason he gives. The pain doubles me over; my wolf is whimpering in my head, and tears are running down my face. I whispered my acceptance of his rejection and took off running. I ran through the pack house out across the green manicured lawn into the forest. "I'm sorry, my sweet girl," I say to my wolf. I'm sorry you have been stuck with me, and our life has been difficult. She whispers," It's not your fault, Katia." I don't know how long or far we ran, but we came to a cliff with a waterfall. The pain from the rejection is unbearable, and the hurt keeps pounding at me. I know I am missing something. Aza, my wolf, feels it, too; she says we are more than regular werewolves and are here for a reason. We cannot remember the reason. I stand staring at the water running over and down, creating the fall. I wonder what the reason is for the millionth time. Why can I or Aza not remember? Does it have something to do with the way others treat us? The way we have been sent to live with different people since the death of our parents? Does it have something to do with why my fated rejected me? I am tired of figuring out why our memories do not make sense. My sweet girl and I want peace, but we do not know how to obtain it. I stand staring into the oblivion of the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. So I stand there rejected, half a wolf, speaking with my Wolfie, my nickname for Aza, debating what we should do next. Someone was yelling my name from the direction I ran. I do not want to go back there. I hear laughter. Turning, I glance down over the cliff. There is another pack having a barbecue. The adults are laughing and watching the pups play. What looks to be the Alpha, beta, and gamma of the pack are in the water playing Marco Polo with some of the children. They look so happy and carefree. I want that. I wonder if Aza and I ever have a life like that.

"I, Zade Matthews, Alpha of the High-claw pack, reject you, Sierra Whitmore, to be my mate and Luna to my pack. You are to work here and obey every command and to accept my rejection" Nobody wants to hear the word rejection. Especially when you're not even strong enough to handle the aftermath of it. At 18, I had just got my wolf, Mina. I was not supposed to mate with an Alpha. I'm an Omega living an Omega life. But the moon-goddess had other ideas, and I was mated to the cruellest of Alphas there is. I'm what they would call a slave to the pack. In other words. I was dispensable if they didn't want or need me. So, when I was invited for breakfast with the Alpha, my mate, I should have taken that as my first red flag. I have never eaten with them. Even when my parents were alive. 6 Years later, just after my 24th birthday, the mate-less Gala was just around the corner once again, and I was tired. Emotionally and physically tired. I had nothing to live for. I had nothing to hope for. Every Omega knows they don't get a second chance at love and every omega had to accept that. That was simply our fate. So, being assigned to accommodate Alpha Nikolai's room was not one of my top things to enjoy, but here I was. Five minutes was all I wanted to have to myself when cleaning the room on the very top floor for the Alpha of all Alphas, so I stopped and sat down to rest my aching body. And cried. Only...the scent of all scents hits me. His scent. Alpha Nikolai Anderson. He doesn't know me, but he chooses to love me. He chooses me.

"I'm an ordinary waiter, but I can see people's fate, including Shifters. Like all children, I was tested for magic when I was only a few days old. Since my specific bloodline is unknown and my magic is unidentifiable, I was marked with a delicate swirling pattern around my upper right arm. I do have magic, just as the tests showed, but it has never lined up with any known Magic species. I can't breathe fire like a dragon Shifter, or hex people who piss me off like Witches. I can't make potions like an Alchemist or seduce people like a Succubus. Now I don't mean to be unappreciative of the power I do have, it's interesting and all, but it just really doesn't pack much of a punch and most of the time it is just pretty much useless. My special magical skill is the ability to see threads of fate. Most of life is annoying enough for me, and what never occurred to me is that my mate is a rude, pompous nuisance. He's an Alpha and my friend's twin brother. --------------------------------------- “What are you doing? This is my home, you can't just let yourself in!” I try and keep my voice firm but when he turns and fixes me with his golden eyes I shrink back. The look he gives me is imperious and I automatically drop my eyes to the floor as is my habit. Then I force myself to look back up again. He doesn't notice me looking up because he's already looked away from me. He's being rude, I refuse to show that he's scaring me, even though he most definitely is. He glances around and after realising that the only place to sit is the little table with its two chairs he points to it. “Sit.” he orders. I glare at him. Who is he to order me around like this? How can someone this obnoxious possibly be my soul mate? Maybe I'm still asleep. I pinch my arm and my eyes water a little from the sting of pain."

“I am here to announce my engagement to Selena, daughter of Alpha Luthor.” The words struck like sharp blades. Luara felt her legs give way. Her mouth opened, but no sound came out. The hall spun, everything around her became blurry — only the sound of those words echoing, cutting, bleeding. “He can't! He's ours! OURS!” Luara’s wolf, Nyssara, roared in despair. But Luara could only stand there — frozen, shattered, alone. “I, Luara Silvares…” The growl came before she could finish. Low. Threatening. It tore through Alpha Kade’s chest. He took a step forward, his dark eyes flashing with anger and desperation. “…I reject you, Alpha Kade, as my mate.” Once, fate had given her a perfect life — until her fated mate, Alpha Kade, chose another Selena. Humiliated and heartbroken, Luara fled, her pride and faith in ruins. When Gamma Rayder entered her life, he offered her a second bond — a chance to heal. For a moment, it felt like salvation… until his betrayal shattered her again. Twice abandoned. Twice destroyed. Luara begged the Moon Goddess to let her die. But the Goddess had other plans. Tired of seeing sacred bonds turned to ashes, she refused Luara’s death — and instead granted her a gift more dangerous than any curse: a second chance. There was an agreement between packs — a marriage between Alpha Kade and Selena, lasting two years, in exchange for territory, resources, and warriors. A political pact. A planned sacrifice. Armed with memory, fury, and a defiant spirit, Luara will not bow to fate again. Will she forgive, seek revenge, or risk everything by loving once more? Because when fate falters, only a defiant Luna decides her path.

"I don't care that you're my mate. I will never... and I repeat, I will never be yours, Hunter." she grits her teeth, making Hunter smirk. "Is that a challenge? We'll just have to see about that, sweetheart," he says, fighting his wolf for dominance as he feels the sparks surge through his body caused by the light touch of her skin on his. The mating bond call was itching at his skin. "You'll be mine sooner or later, and when that happens, you'll be moaning my name out with those sweet juicy lips of yours," he says, running his lips over hers in a feather-like motion. He had to have her, he needed to have her, but before he could claim her, he first had to win her heart. Hunter Black is used to having any woman he wants at his disposal. Being the alpha of his pack has its perks after all. He can have any girl he wants at any time of day. At least… that's what she's heard. Abigail Montero was used to being the reject.
