I did have a lot of fun with it but I can't ignore some of the issues I had with it especially in the first 65% of the book. I did like the concept and plot as an overall but the way it was executed felt chaotic to me.I’m honestly too lazy to write a proper review, so let me show you, based on the tropes, why Quicksilver didn’t work out for me.Where do I even BEGIN??? Without a doubt one of my favorite reads of the year! Obsessed is actually the biggest understatement. Everything I want out of a fantasy romance book and them some! I am truly blown away that this is the authors first book in this genre, it was PERFECTION and I will be making it my entire personality.the beginning was good, the middle was looooooong, the almost end was a 5 & the end was a 6 that i would legit have me selling my right arm to get the second book asap… do with that what u will :’)I highly recommend the audiobook (I did a tandem read with the ebook and audiobook) the narrators did such a splendid job and gave life to the characters. I was LIVING FOR THAT BICKERING! If you're looking for a fun fantasy adventure with a sizzling romance (man the spice was spicin') and found family, then this is definitely a must-read.I will say bear with some of the lore dump as it's necessary to set the foundation for the rest of the series hope the next is good
