Tyrion L'Oreal, a 27-year-old billionaire with a heart of stone, had a marriage that was doomed from the start. His wife, Shae, 24, was merely a trophy to be displayed, her feelings and desires ignored. But when his mother, the formidable Ms. L'Oreal, demanded he divorce Shae, citing her as "unsuitable" for the family, Tyrion didn't hesitate. He cast Shae aside like a worn-out shoe, never once considering the consequences of his actions. But fate has a way of surprising us. After the divorce, Shae discovered she was pregnant, leaving Tyrion with a choice to make. Would he continue down the path of selfishness, or would he finally put someone else's needs before his own? His mother, however, was not about to let him forget his duties. She demanded he prioritize his inheritance and the family legacy, no matter the cost. As Tyrion wrestled with his conscience, he began to realize that his mother's grasp on him was suffocating. He longed to break free and forge a new path, one that included Shae and their unborn child. But would he find the courage to stand up to his mother and claim his true inheritance – a life of love, family, and happiness? Or would fear and obligation hold him captive forever?
Chapter 1
Tyrion was a billionaire and owed everything to his mother, who belonged to the wealthy L'Oreal Family. She was never married and never had children of her own, so she did not actually become his mother until she took him in from an orphanage when he was seven years old and gave him her last name.
He went to some of the most elite schools, and all of his life, he was willing to stop at nothing to make her happy. It was partly because she had shaped him into the person he is today, and partly so he would have everything she owned should she pass away.
Ms. L'Oreal had imposed a marriage arrangement on tyrion for her own benefit of expanding her business partnership with Mr. Shawn.
Being the obedient son he was, never protesting when it came to his mother's wishes or demands, he agreed to the marriage. He never wished to get on her bad side.
Meeting Arrangements were put into motion for Tyrion and Shae to meet and truly when Tyrion set eyes on shar for the first time, it made him the happiest man on earth. The lady he was about to marry looked stunning, from her perfectly shaped face to her proportionate figure.
Shae did not like the haughty manner in which he spoke to her. Having brought it up a few times in front of him all with the purpose of showing him that she was not the kind to belittle someone with his haughtiness.
Despite her disapproval of his haughtiness, she married Tyrion to carry out her father's desire to start a business with Ms. L'Oreal.
Both were in a marriage all to fulfil Their parents' wishes. Shae was a virgin until their wedding night, when she allowed Ethan to touch her.
Knowing that he was her first and would be her last gave Tyrion more self-confidence. He had been eagerly anticipating that moment because she was so strict with her purity that she always turned him down whenever he would want to sleep with her during their courtship.
Shae would had now become Tyrion's wife; she was subjected to intimacy and nothing more. He had an insatiable urge for sex and mostly had her whenever he pleased. It was her job to satisfy his sexual urge.
She might have been one to always speak her mind and reject what she didn't feel was right. But at times, Ethan was so dominant that she would give in and let him do whatever he wanted. Afterall, they were both married.
Unity and Harmony prevailed in the family for as long as Mr. Shawn and Ms. L'Oreal had Their partnership sailing. Ms. L'Oreal treated Shae very well, like a mother would to her daughter.
Sadly, an unfortunate problem took place with Mr. Shawn, Shae's Father. He was placed under police custody and went through a series of investigations each day as they were findings of his wealth acquired through illegal mean.
Death took a toll on him as he could not beat the pressure and harsh treatment meted out from the police and the public. Shae was heartbroken that under six months into her marriage, she had lost all happiness known to her.
Ms. L'Oreal now bitter and determined to make Shae suffer, transferring her aggressions to the innocent shae ,making it clear to her that she was of no value to the family and only brought shame. For that, she went to extreme lengths to bring nothing but misery to Shae.
She was insulted, humiliated. Mostly, these harsh treatments were meted out in the presence of Tyrion but he Never dated to interrupt any of it because all he ever knew was to take sides worth his mother.
Shae had a place in Tyrion's little heart, the death of her father didn't bother him or the business partnership failure because he had Shae, a stunning wife. The unsuccessful business partnership with Mr Parker didn't matter to Ethan because he still had a stunning wife.
He felt no love for her but he kept her. Just like a queen would keep her crown even if she grew tired of wearing it. He found delight in showing her off to his friends and getting her to satisfy his sexual urge.
Shae and Tyrion were at his mother's house and had already been there for a few hours. Shae was intentionally wasting time in the shower.
She was far from ready to greet the guests that were already trooping into the mansion. It wasn't because she hated parties or any reason one could possibly think of. It was Ms. L'Oreal sixteeth birthday party and she had invited all her society colleagues.
Snakes inviting scorpions.
She thought while having to listen to Tyrion yelling her name repeatedly asking that she leave the shower immediately and get prepared for the birthday party.
"I have people to impress"
That was all he cared about, to leave a lasting impression on the wealthy.
Being the egoistic person he was and always wanting to surround himself with powerful people, he had checked the guestlist to ensure that all those invited were of high society and were worthy of seeing him in one of his classiest suits.
He had just finished putting on his pants and was about to reach for his shirt when Shae finally came out of the bathroom with only a towel to cover herself and when the lights in the room illuminated her skin, it awakened a desire within Tyrion to run his hands all over her.
The view of his gorgeous and sensual wife was something that became a priority over reaching for his shirt. But she wasn't in the mood for any games he was about to play, she was never in the mood from the day Tyrion made it obvious that she was only there for sexual satisfaction.
She paced around the room to look for her shoes while letting out low grunts with clenched fists. Unable to find them, she looked over at Tyrion, who had stripped her naked with his eyes.
"Did you see where I had put the heels I came with?" she asked.
"I don't know." He shrugged, then reached for his shirt and put it on but didn't yet button up.
She was so frustrated that she kept pacing the large room in an attempt to find her shoes, until finally she stood directly in front of him and leaned over to peer behind a table. He could not resist the temptation to put his hands on her thighs, but she quickly straightened up, stepped away from him, and firmly said, "No."
He approached her and blocked her path by standing directly in front of her, holding onto the sides of her shoulders while glaring down at her, clearly unhappy with her resounding rejection.
"Once again, I need to remind you that as my wife, you are obligated to let me touch you whenever I wish to do so, Do you understand me?" he said.
Oh really? She pushed his hands away, scowling. And my feelings, what about them? Why don't you take my mood into account?"
He gave a disbelieving shake of his head. "We have already resolved this. I don't care about your mood. When I touch you, I aim to satisfy myself."
"What about me?"
"What about you?" He asked with a shrug.
"You always find a way to remind me just how selfish you are," she said, shaking her head and turning to leave him behind. She was already accustomed to the way he treated her.
"And cease rejecting me, which is such a turn off".
She ignored him, concentrating on finding her shoes, and when she did, she dropped her towel in front of Tyrion and proceeded to move around the room nude. His desire grew stronger as he watched her every move and fixed his gaze on everything he could see from the front and the back, awakening his desire even more.
"If your intention isn't to arouse me, don't walk around like that," he said. With her focus on putting on her underwear, she said, "Just look away and try not to have any sexual thoughts. Not everything is about sex."
"Who said everything is about sex?" he asked.
"You always make me feel like I'm just here to have sex with you."
"I don't see any other reason you're here," he said.
She parted her lips to speak but couldn't. Instead, she clenched her fist and stormed off to the bathroom.
He got closer to the bathroom door and spoke to her with mockery. "What's gotten into you? I'm not wrong. Apart from the sexual satisfaction that I get from you, you're of no value to me".
Just then, Ms. L'Oreal was at the door, calling for Tyrion as she lightly knocked on it.
When he opened it for her, she looked at him from head to toe and wasn't so impressed because he still wasn't ready. She told him that she expected him to already be downstairs and he assured her that it would be soon.
She got closer to gently run her fingers on the lapels of his jacket and he used that moment to inquire if his best friend, Lancelot had arrived. He was his best friend.
"Lance hasn't yet arrived but I'm sure he'll be here soon. Just hurry and come downstairs." She smiled while touching his hair.
"I'll be ready soon," he said, then looked at the bathroom door. "Shae might take longer."
"Oh, whatever," she said as her smile faded and walked away with nothing more to say.
When Shae came out of the bathroom again and started dressing up, Tyrion spoke to her as he put on his shoes.
"My mother was just here."
"Yes, I heard," she said with so much unenthusiasm.
"Anyway, she said we need to be downstairs soon."
"I heard that as well. I heard it all. I'm now used to the fact that your mother doesn't like me. It's because she has no use for me."
"Well...obviously," he said, making no effort to hide whose side he was on.
"Yeah, thanks for the support," she said with sarcasm. "I can't wait for this party to end. That way, we can go home."
"No, we're spending the night here."
"I thought we were going home." She furrowed her eyebrows. "I've changed my mind. We're staying here. My mother said we should." She raised her eyebrows.
"And with no objections, you agreed. Why am I not surprised?"
Not wanting to talk about it, he changed the topic and demanded that they both hurry downstairs to meet the guests.
He had his arm around her waist when they were both ready. If she would have allowed it, he could have easily taken her dress off because it was strapless.
He leaned in close to her, whispering as they descended the long staircase." As is customary, be brief in your interactions with the guests. They're not here for you, is that clear?"
"You don't always have to treat me like this," she said. With no regard and caution for how his next words would make her feel, he said.
"Tell me how should I treat you?Do you think you matter to me? Make another complaint and I'll send you back to your father. Oh. Wait, he's dead", He said while smiling. Shae found it evil that one could have so much joy in another person's death.
She didn't love him, but his words were so infuriating that it was evident in her facial expression. From behind, she held onto his hand that was on her waist and tried to push it away.
Ms. L'Oreal came over to them at that precise moment, merely bringing up Tyrion's name to get his attention. Just as she was about announcing a particular someone to her son, a man joined them with his teeth revealing itself in the light. He introduced himself as Mr. Pycelle.
Ms. L'Oreal went on and off about everything about Pycelle, What is that snake up to?
Thought Shae as she did nothing but watch the three people chat away Their time not even noticing her as she stood by.
Tyrion moved forward to greet Pycelle with a handshake, throwing Shae's hands off his arm not minding how that may have seemed to the public. He only wanted to impress him, that was the only thing in his mind which his mother had obviously filled his little mind with. TO PLEASE HER . TO IMPRESS HER.
The two men shook hands vigorously, Shae thought it would end so she could go back to holding her husband's arm but then , Pycelle held on to him with the talk of how he wanted to introduce someone to him . His middle finger went up to the air, pointing to a sophisticated young woman who was coming toward them.
To Tyrion she was gorgeous, but was no comparison for Shae.
Pycelle introduced her as his daughter, Katherine. It was an awkward meeting between the trio. Katherine extended her hands out for Tyrion to hold and kiss, staring how much she had longed for a meeting with him. With a fake smile and an evil glare, she greeted Shae and of course no one spoke in her defence.
With each passing second, Shae grew more impatient waiting for the party to end so she could sleep and leave the reality of. World for a few hours. Tyrion got dragged away by his other with the excuse of having something very important to talk to him about.
Shae got shunned as she made a few steps to follow her husband and mother in-law "Stay where you are, I would like to talk to my son in private!"
"Of course, speak to him in private" she said rolling her eyes towards her "perhaps under your armpit, I hope that's much of a privacy to you", Shae with the voice of confidence spoke not having to bear another humiliation in the presence of another lady.
Ignoring her whilst rolling her eyes to her, she grabbed Tyrion away. As Shae watched wishing she could somehow be able to listen in to whatever Ms. L'Oreal was discussing with Tyrion.
Now with Ethan not by her side, Shae was left standing with Mr Pycelle and Katherine and they were about to tear her down.
Chapter 2
"Mum, it's too sudden" Tyrion finally spoke after a few minutes with his head to the ground and his face a blank expression.
Ms. L'Oreal standing in front of him walked three steps towards him and sat down beside him on the bed. "You're my son. You would never disappoint me. That girl has brought nothing but bad luck to our family and I won't wait to see what evil she plots out next", Ms. L'Oreal said placing her frail hands on Tyrion's back.
As usual, Tyrion say down and listened as his mother spoke I'll of his wife, Shae. She sounded so enthusiastic about Shae and Tyrion getting a divorce and she wished she would see her face when Shae hears about the divorce plans.
"Do as I say and get it over with" Ms. L'Oreal said with a more scary voice and then headed out to the party room.
Leaving Tyrion in the room.
After a few minutes of planning the perfect way to break his wife's heart. He dashed out of the room. Shae had been left standing with the father a
