Chapter 1

No doubt the DJ selected for tonight’s party knew exactly what to play to keep the night groovy.

The girls twerking and the guys rocking them hard.

Talk about drinks, they were available in surplus. Enough to take an average person 3 days to finish, but with the kind of people here, the drinks were gonna finish tonight.

The DJ scratched the disk and switched to another Jam, fueling the high spirits of the hormonal-driven teens at the party.

Bianca held on to her shot of Tequila, she had taken a couple of shots already and was not yet feeling the effect of the alcohol. It’s her birthday and her boyfriend Dave threw this grand all-night party for her.

“Bianca, your boyfriend knows how to throw a birthday party.” Tunde commented, still nodding to the beat of the music.

“You won’t expect any less from a rich boyfriend.” Chioma replied, taking the shot of Tequila from Lara and draining all its contents in one gulp.

Tunde danced his way to the dance floor. Bianca watched with a smile on her face, as Tunde held on to a girl’s ass, rocking her badly.

“Why ain’t you on the dance floor? “ Chioma asked, “C’mon girl, it’s your day!” Chioma added before pulling Bianca towards the dance floor.

Binance struggled and finally pulled her hand free;

“My phone is ringing.” Bianca stated and fished her phone out of her purse.

“Lemme guess, your parents?”

“Yes! And this is the twentieth time they have been calling me. I have to go.” Bianca replied, returning her phone to her purse without answering the call.

“Why? And would you go without saying goodbye to Dave? You know he threw this party for you, right?” Chioma asked. Trailing slowly behind her as they moved away from the crowd.

Bianca sighed and turned to face Chioma. Her mind was racing with different thoughts. She took one long look at all the decorations and people who had come to the birthday party and she sighed again, confusion written on her face.

“You know my parents are also hosting a little birthday party for me at home. I can’t afford to miss it. My dad will literally sue me in court!” Bianca tried to explain.

Chioma sighed and said; “You can go. I’ll explain things to Dave.”

“Thank you!” Bianca jumped on Chioma, giving her a tight hug. “I owe you one.” She giggled and ran out the exit door.

The cold outside pierced through her skin as soon as she stepped outside. She didn’t realize how cold it was. She rubbed her palms together in a bid to warm herself up.

Her phone rang again, but this time she answered it.

“Hey mum, I’m coming home now. I was in a night class.”

“Come home fast, you got us worried!” Her mum’s voice echoed from the other end. She heard her mum telling her father that she was on her way before the call was disconnected.

She turned to the left and the right side of the road, but there was no sign of any incoming taxi. She glanced at her phone’s screen, it was almost 2 am. She mumbled to herself and returned the phone to her pocket.

Bianca Daniel is the only child and daughter of the famous Supreme Court Judge, Daniel Femi. Her mother is also a famous lawyer. She had always been told the tale of how both her parents met in law school and fell in love. Bianca, on the other hand, was pressured to study law, which is the course she was pursuing at the university. Like her father always says; “The legacy of our family rests on your shoulders as our only daughter”

She kept walking down the road, but still no sign of an incoming car. She was about to pull out her phone to call her parents to ask them to send a driver to pick her up when a car’s lights flashed and drove to a stop in front of her.

“Hello! Where are you heading?” He asked with a wide smile on his face which Bianca found weird.

Bianca took one glance at him but couldn’t bring herself to get in, so she nodded negatively and the car taxied off.

She had walked quite some distance, recalling that she had called her parents and they had sent the driver over. She just hoped he would be close by. The cold was becoming unbearable.

She stood beside the road waiting, turning a few times to scan her surroundings when she felt someone behind her.

She turned again, for the umpteenth time. Her mind grew uncomfortable and so she decided to walk away from the spot, and that was when she heard the footsteps behind her. She turned and saw a muscular figure walking behind her. She increased her pace and so did he.

She started running but her heels didn’t let her go too far.

He caught up with her and sealed her face with a black nylon. She passed out after struggling from being breathless.

Chapter 2

Bianca didn’t return home that night. Her father tried calling her a couple of times but her phone was switched off.

After staying up till it was past 2 am, Mr. Daniel urged his wife to retire to bed. he blew off the candle on the cake, and turned off the light bulbs before walking his wife to their room.

“I have a bad feeling about this, Femi.” Mrs. Daniels said as her husband tucked her into sleep.

“Don’t worry, she’ll come home, might just be one of her late nights. But I’ll wait for her downstairs,” he replied and planted a kiss on his wife’s forehead.

She flashed a weak smile and closed her eyes. he knew that she wasn’t gonna sleep just yet. He turned off the electric lamp on the table beside the bed and walked out of the room.

That night, he waited and waited, but still no sign of her. He tried calling again but still got the same reply.

Call him weak, but at this moment, he was damn scared. Different thoughts rushed into his head. His mind
