Chapter 1

Alex Rodriguez trudged through the halls of his Silver crest High School; his backpack stuffed weighing heavily on his shoulders. He was just another face in the crowd, blending in with the sea of students rushing to their next class.

But little did he know, he was anything but ordinary. As Alex entered his English class, he noticed a strange feeling brewing inside him.

His senses were heightened, and he could hear the whispering of his classmates from across the room. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his body, causing him to gasp out loud.

"Are you okay?" asked his teacher, Ms. Ramirez, as she rushed over to his side.
Alex nodded, trying to brush off the pain. But he couldn't shake the feeling that something was different about him. He had always felt like an outsider, but this was something else entirely.

As class began, Alex tried to focus on the lesson, but his mind kept wandering. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was calling to him from deep within the forest surrounding his town. He had always felt a strange connection to the wilderness, but he had never understood why.

Later that day, as Alex walked home from school, he heard a rustling in the bushes. His heart began to race as he realized that he was being followed. He quickened his pace, but the footsteps behind him only grew louder.

"Who's there?" he called out, his voice shaking with fear.
There was no answer, but Alex could feel a presence looming over him. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the trees, revealing itself to be a massive, black-furred wolf.

Alex froze in terror, unable to move as the wolf bared its teeth. But just as the wolf lunged towards him, Alex felt a surge of power course through his body.

His hands and feet began to transform into massive paws, and thick fur sprouted all over his body. In a matter of seconds, he had become a werewolf. The wolf recoiled in surprise as Alex let out a ferocious growl.

For the first time in his life, he felt truly alive. But he knew that this newfound power came with a cost, and that his life would never be the same again.

Breathing heavily after he had reversed to his human form he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, and he couldn't help but look over his shoulder every few seconds. He didn’t understand what had just happened but he could sense that he was different.

When he arrived home, his mother, Sofia, greeted him with a smile. "How was school, mijo?" she asked, using the affectionate Spanish term for "my son."

"Fine," Alex replied, still feeling uneasy. "I'm just tired."
Sofia gave him a worried look. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Alex forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just need some rest." As he made his way to his room, he heard his parents whispering in the living room.

He couldn't make out what they were saying, but he knew it was about him. He shook his head and tried to ignore it, but his curiosity got the better of him.

He crept closer to the living room, trying to eavesdrop without getting caught. Just as he was about to hear something, his foot hit a creaky floorboard, and his parents turned to face him.

"Alex, what are you doing?" his father, Carlos, asked sternly.
Alex stumbled over his words. "Uh, nothing. Just... going to my room."

His parents exchanged a worried look, and Alex couldn't help but feel like he was in trouble. He quickly retreated to his room and shut the door behind him.
"What was that about?" he muttered to himself, trying to shake the feeling of unease.

But little did Alex know, his life was about to change forever. The dormant werewolf gene within him was about to be awakened, and he would soon discover a world he never knew existed.

After taking a long rest Alex decides to take a walk through the quiet streets of his neighborhood. He suddenly heard a low growling noise behind him. He turns around, but there is no one there.

He dismisses it as his imagination and continues walking, but the growling noise persists, getting louder and more intense. Alex's heart starts pounding as he quickens his pace.

He turned around again, and this time he saw a large, dark figure in the distance. The figure seems to be moving towards him rapidly, and Alex realizes that he is in danger.

He broke into sprint as fast as he can, but the figure was closing in on him. Just as he thinks he was about to be attacked, a car pulled up beside him, and the door opened.

"Get in!" the driver yelled, and Alex jumped into the car. As they sped away, he turned to look at his savior and saw that it was Maya, his childhood friend who he hasn't seen in years, who lived at the other end of Silver crest.

"Maya, what's going on? What was that thing?" Alex gasps, trying to catch his breath.
"You're in danger, Alex. You don't know what you're capable of," Maya said, her voice serious and urgent.
"What do you mean?" Alex asked, confused.
"You're a werewolf, Alex. And you need to learn how to control it before it's too late."
“What are you talking about Maya?”
“You will understand soon enough. Just be careful. Let me drop you here. I had to get home quick. Dad sent me on errands.”
Alex got down and she drove off.

That night Alex slept off early after completing his homework. He puts out the lights but left the windows open. A mild wind rushes in fluttering the curtains. The dark night turns silver and a full moon glides over the sky, pouring a shaft of silver rays into Alex room. He was sound asleep and snores softly. … he dreamt about the wolves…

Chapter 2

Alex and Maya came out a canteen and took a slop toward a field of roses. A gang of fierce looking young men emerge from an abandoned warehouse armed with clubs. Alex and Maye dashed toward the woods.

Alex stumbled on a log. She helps him to his feet and they start running away from the gang. The gang lost their trail and halted the chase. Alex was panting heavily and Maya could hear his heart pounding in his chest. She knew that he was in shock and tried to comfort him.

"It's okay, Alex. You're safe now," Maya said, trying to calm him down.
"Who were they?" Alex asks, still gasping for breath.

"They were just some guys from Lakeside High School. I don't think they were expecting to find a werewolf in their territory," Maya says, giving Alex a sly smile.

Alex stared at her with confusion, "Werewolf? What are you talking about?"
Maya hesitates for a moment before deciding to revea
