The writing is absolutely fantastic. The writer captures both perspectives beautifully, giving both characters vulnerability without undermining their strengths. I’m excited to see how their story unfolds further. She also gives rich complexity to the supporting characters. I love that she allowed her characters to act on their desires, although Wes seems to have forgotten his fathers warnings to be careful (protection could have been a wise idea, but may not have impacted the character arc, I need to read further to see where everything leads!)
